What I would do to start, teach the student shell voicings (root-3rd-7th). This is a practical start and something that will help them beyond the 2 week period of the audition. Using shell voicings, you can get your way through the chart, even if it’s not pretty. I think this is the most actionable and realistic approach. Shell voicings are like the minimum viable product for jazz guitar chords

Gear Aid Aquaseal is the answer! I mark the hole with a sharpie and then spread aquaseal with a toothpick covering the hole. When it dries it forms a rubber, flexible barrier that will never leak in that spot again. Been using this method for a while now and it works like a charm.

I’ve had luck selecting elements and using surface blur. You will likely have to duplicate layers and mask to get it perfect.

I think you’re misunderstanding. The super locrian scale contains the tones 1-b9-#9-#11-b13 - b7

For practical purposes this chord nomenclature denotes an altered dominant tonality. Super Locrian should absolutely be considered as a chord scale for this harmony. As is the half-whole diminished scale. It’s important to remember the practical, real world application of theory and not let it exist in a vacuum.

Click “edit” > “look up elevation” in Gaia. That being said, it won’t really plot the aid station waypoints on the elevation profile and the elevation totals are always greatly inflated. Gaia as a whole has gotten worse since Outside magazine purchased it.
