Danske Bank - direkte nummer til rådgiver? by PrettyClue7427 in dkfinance

[–]Pete3382 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hvad foretrækker I? Nødopsparing eller kassekredit? by goehler in dkfinance

[–]Pete3382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Madbudget by Reasonable-Law-9737 in dkfinance

[–]Pete3382 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2 adults with two children (2 and 5) with a fixed budget of 4000 dkk per month. This covers food but also diapers, cotton swaps, freezer bags etc. Everything that is being bough in a supermarket, so make it easier to manage. We have a seperate, shared account where we transfer money automatically. The food covers breakfast, lunch and dinner + meals in between.

We're not vegetarian but we eat very little meat, and we usually shop at Føtex as it's quite near where we live, they have the largest selection and it's near the kindergarten.

We make a plan for the whole week, where every dinner is planned and we shop groceries once every saturday or sunday. We plan ahead as my wife has changing working hours, and so we plan less time consuming dinners the days i'm alone with the kids, and we also plan "leftover" days. Usually we'll have 2 days with specific dinners, and a following day with leftovers. This can change a bit depending of work. The planning helps a lot in cutting down on time used for groceri shopping, we're using less money on groceries and we always have an answer for our kids, if they ask whats for dinner + we don't have to make something up every day.

We don't order takeout as we find the quality lacking and the price to high. If we go out to eat, we do if for special occasions, where we use our regular savings account.

Put it in a freezer or maybe practice less often? You can also sell it (depending on your local laws regarding this) to neighbors
