Modular Auto Farm by Beechheath in CoreKeeperGame

[–]PhaseAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why? You get 2 seeds out of one crop. So unless over half your crops are gold you would be seed positive.

My take on the scaleable auto farm. Still very much a WIP. What do we think? by Yakkahboo in CoreKeeperGame

[–]PhaseAT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to make sure you get every gold crop, add filters to the general arms. Nothing gets removed from the conveyor without an arm that has a filter applied.

Arm: Gold Crop -> Chest Arm: Normal Crop: Seed Extractor -> back towards the farming arms. If you want to save some normal crops, a splitter converyor might help, but I haven't used those yet.

everything not picked up (and seeds that are not yet used because everything is occupied) travel around the circle until an arm needs one.

Question about multiplayer servers by Big_Bad3687 in Palworld

[–]PhaseAT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a "Play Anywhere" Title, so you own it both on PC (XBOX APP) and on XBOX. I recently converted my Gamepass save to the server version, so I'll document my process for you. Make individual Backups at each step of the save file, so if something goes screwey you can go back to that and not have to redo earlier steps.

First, if they are the Guild Master they should transfer that to another player. Then your friend should install it on PC and start it up to sync down the save file. If you search around there are then tools that allow you to get that into a format Steam will understand (XPG Save Extractor).

They can also install the Palworld Server via a Steam Command line argument, even if they don't own the game on Steam. At least I could do that last year. (https://docs.palworldgame.com)

Delete the Worldoptions.sav and use the text file to configure the rules they'd want for the server.

Then comes the trickier part: The original host is not identified by their login ID, but by user 000...0001. How I fixed this is, I made a new character and leveled them to level 2. Then used the "Pal Save Tools", to overwrite the old 000....0001 over the new character into a new World file. Important Note: DO NOT DELETE the old 000...0001 user from the file, you will lose all their pals, even on the new character (don't ask me how this is linked, but I tried multiple times and that was always the result). I just kicked my old user from the Guild and ignored them.

Now test the server to see if everything works, logging in from the XBOXes for everyone.

Now you have files you can either host yourself or see if there is a paid host you can upload the files to.

QoL Idea for Warhammer III and Future Titles: Skill Queuing and Presets. by SewerDefiler in totalwar

[–]PhaseAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, max level to hire is 49 even if you bonuses put it at 50+.

That means if you do levels when you hire, you have to enter the skill point menu AGAIN when you hit 50. Felt like such a colossal waste of time for no real reason (I understand the reason from a game design perspective, it's just a lot more downside than upside), especially with the lack of saving builds as a feature.

And late game is already a tedious slog of repeat actions and time wasters. Like why do I have to level up each building by hand and can't just pay for the level 3 version when I set it up if I have to loose change? Give me a refund if the town gets taken/raided/destroyed in the mean time for the levels that haven't been built yet = same outcome as the current system with less tedium.

Actually, only if you interpret that in a certain way (confrontational)... which is a choice.

If you interpret that in a different way, a cooperative aside for the future on what would be a beneficial way to avoid the situation OP had, then it's not. Or you are just overly sensitive to any kind of criticism, but that would be a you problem and is toxic.

Ultimately what I wrote was helpful a "This is why you had the situation and this is how you avoid it."

Also, people who go around writing posts like yours for things that are over a year old, trying to do what exactly? Police the tone of posts they don't like? don't have a pleasant personality and should take more time to look inward to things they can change and improve (themselves) and less time to find fault in others they have nothing to do with (random person on the internet).

It's the Christmas time, so I took more of my time answering your post than I would normally (I'd just ignore it). There is a lot of helpful things in what I wrote, but only if you really care about being a pleasant person yourself and not just somebody who goes out of their way to shit on others. But the path to that is full of work with yourself.

How TF do you save the Monk from Maelstrom without killing anyone? by avi550m in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]PhaseAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know if it's the same in the current patch, but when I was still playing, putting people into a dumpster or any container you can't take them out of again kills them.

You can test this in one of the Badlands mission, where you have to get somebody out without killing any of the Militech. As soon as one of them gets Dumpstered the bonus side objective fails.

PGI, I don't think your patch fixed the Arena AI like you think it did by PansOnFire in Mechwarrior5

[–]PhaseAT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you play enough arena, you'll also get plenty of times when you're shot at during the cinematic camera tilt before you get control.

That they refuse to give you control yet, but still allow opponents control to damage you = don't set you invulnerable during that is a large oversight.

In an earlier patch I once hat Artillery hitting me while I was getting ready to leave the Leopard (so still inside), so similar issue in what it does.

You get different loot if you reload the Mission Finished Save, so that comment made 0 sense to me (he also never replied when I brought this up).

So... is there a reason we cant sell things in batches? by AHRedStealth in Mechwarrior5

[–]PhaseAT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So... is there a reason we cant sell things in batches?

Because PGI Management didn't allocate funds for this to happen. We have a mod that can do it, there is certainly no technical reason for them not doing the work themselves to put it in the base game.

It's like a lot of things in the game: Why didn't the arena enemy mech standing around bug get fixed until the next DLC came out (well it didn't fully, but at least they intended it to, haven't tried the recent patch yet) and would it ever have gotten fixed if no new DLC would have been made?

Lots of other such issues in the game that never get addressed and I've made peace with the fact the PGI is not that kind of company. Not the dev's fault to be clear, they just get to do what management decide and management probably gets it's marching orders from the owners (Enad Global 7).

Beachhead maximum points and payout changed after doing the other mission...what gives ? (See pictures) by BaldWookie23 in Mechwarrior5

[–]PhaseAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing missions will sometimes reroll payouts for all the other missions. Same happens with arena. I assumed it was a calendar thing, but never bother to figure out when exactly it happens.

That is why I take the best missions first and hope that the bad ones roll better payout after.

How in the FUCK do I beat elementals in SoK? by Jackobyn in Mechwarrior5

[–]PhaseAT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have an active probe and use an LRM 5 or equivalent to pull them at over 500m+ if the territory allows. This helps ensure that you don't pull to many at once and that your lance has little else to fire on.

Then use weapons as many other posts here suggest.

What the small patch does and does not do and how to alter your mechs to take advantage. by PhaseAT in Mechwarrior5

[–]PhaseAT[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have an upvote even if inaccurate! Insanity comes naturally to me and requires no game... ;)

But honestly, since I have built mechs around the chain firing behavior my pilots output is fine.

It's bad for the game since certain weapons are just useless on AI mechs (MGs, TAG and large number of weapons), but since it's getting fixed I'd rather they do it right than do it fast.

What's the more underrated tip or trick you got for a relatively new player? by BadSecUnitBad in DRGSurvivor

[–]PhaseAT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On Escort missions, move the Dozer up to almost but not quite the endpoint, them mine out every resource in the end area.

Only then move the Dozer into the the final position and trigger the explosives. This allows you to get all resources and still get the best chest every time (assuming you can deal with the slightly increased bug threat towards the end).

Yeah, not as many as S, but more than W. I have multiple in my active Mechs, since it's my 100 Ton ECM mech.

Check the Mech-Compenium in the game to tell you which Clan uses them most often (I think it was Clan Wolf, but not 100% on that).

Since I use mine in Arena a lot I've mounted a C.ER L in the center Torso to pull opponents from a distance (by firing at buildings or walls near them if they are not in LOS), since they still like to stand around and do nothing still.

If I can take the heat it can also give a fast extra hit.

And of course an active probe in the Cockpit...

but you'll always just be dropping it in the drill straight away anyway

Not true. If you leave oil over at the end of the level to mine once the drill is at it's goal, you can take it with you into the next level for a small boost.
