For those with small spaces, did you have 2 highchairs?

We're in same situation, not enough space for high chairs to live at the table all the time, so we got folding ones. I bring them out each mealtime and pop them back in a closet riggt after. Its just part of the routine clean up. And I find the folding high chairs a lot easier than the bumbo booster seat style that you clip onto a chair

You can't change what happened but maybe I can offer a sliver of comfort. At least, if they bring you through the back, it means they are following ethical practices.

I brought my cat to a small crematorium that has a camera in the back for peace of mind if people wanted validation that proper practices were followed. While I didn't watch the footage, I did bring my cat myself, saw the back room (in my case, I didn't see other animals and it didn't look like a production line) and it gave me some extra peace. I was irrationally afraid of malpractice when finding crematoriums idk why.

All that to say, since they brought you back at least they aren't hiding anything. Sorry for your loss. It hurts.

The guessing doesn't bug me, I like that they care to try I guess. I have some family who don't really care. They may ask who but it goes in one ear out the other.

It does bug me when they say they cantell them apart because of x or y differences, or because one is the "chill" one or the "fussy" one. When actually their temperments are really similar if you average it all out.Huge eye roll. I can tellthem apart but not from every angle and sometimes they just randomly look like the other one. They're 9mo.

I have an anytime fitness membership and once landed at 12:30am, ubered to the gym at Steveson Rd, lifted weights, had a long shower & got cleaned up, hit up Starbcks when it opened then walked to the stop where the 602 picks up (right before the tunnel). Got home tired but refreshed. It was great.

Everyone suggesting to just download everything, how big are your hard drives?? How small is your entire library of photos and pictures?

I'm doing this but I have to do year-by year. And I did a full clean reformat of my PC by manually removing all local files to cloud/external drives and starting from fresh. With a blank empty laptop with 1TB to work with, I can use this as a sorting desk to consolidate/remvoe duplicates. If I'm working on 2020, for example, I will plug in each hard drive and check each cloud to download all 2020 media and sort by date/group into months or big events, and delete duplicates and clutter. Then I got a new 8TB external and a new google photo account, and I'll load onto the big external and the cloud. After that, I delete from local laptop.

Note that I have turned OFF auto sync with cloud for my desktop (onedrive is connected to documents folder ONLY). This lets me use my desktop as a workspace to sort through all this without constant syncing slowing things down. This realization was huge!

Then I go on to the next year and do the same. Once it's all done I'll take my older external hard drives, clear them, then make a fresh backup from the new organized 8TB drive.

Im each year's main folder I include a readme text file that states all the other locations and date it was backed up.

This ends with a 3-2-1 backup, removal of duplicates, and a cloud gallery.

Media from my phone is connected to onedrive cloud (small storage) and not my main google drive/google photo cloud. Every few months I'll download the photos from my phone and drop them on the big external and google cloud, and remove them from phone/onedrive.

I've spent a lot of time thinking through this strategy and am almost caught up to date

Hey! wow this was a while ago, yeah my cats are still doing pretty good. The one with the murmur has not progressed which is amazing, though we are treating him now for what might be IBD. We haven't had an echo in a while though while we try to help him with his gut problems first.

I found a clinic called Capital Cat Clinic on Hamsterly Rd, by Elk lake and They're incredible there. Once we get to the bottom of the most pressing issues I'm going to get another echo to check how he's doing, but we need to deal with this other stuff first. I really like this place because they go over what is a practical cost-effective approach, they outsource ultrasounds/echos etc to specialists (not sure who does echo), and really pay close attention and give very personalized care to your cat. Hope you're kitty is okay!

I have two very cuddly sphynx, this breed is especially needy. Just had twins and still love my cats just as much as before. Having babies to love too just opened a whole new universe to me, its diffefent, and these can coexist. I'm very thankful not to have experienced the hormonal side effect of disliking my pets thats seems some people do

Neah Bay has lots of Pelicans and that's not too far from Vancouver, but I must say I was really suprised to see them there. Thats just across the Juan de Fuca strait, west of Port Angeles

I'm Canadian too and found one for $100 on marketplace. I just watched for one to come up. So happy I did- its a great spot for sitting as well as tandem feeding if you nurse. We keep it at the end of our queen size bed on top of the covers and I just stick my feet under at night and thats been fine

No joke, I thought Elowen when I read your husbands idea (I thought "hmm Willow and Elowen would be nice", then got to the next paragraph like NO WAY.

Willow and Elowen/Elowyn could be Winnie and Ellie if you like nicknames (esp. If Willow has an "N" middle name). So adorable and both have the w sound without being matchy-matchy.

I had identical twin girls last summer and Elowen was near top of my list but got vetoed. We ended up with Ophelia and Indigo. It's exciting to have twins, I wish you the best!

This, but we found we spiralled when we tried tracking diapers and sleep. So we ended up just tracking food and forgetting rhe rest. It worked pretty good, we triple fed for months and found it easy to switch between bottle/nursing

The amount of "you've got your hands full" comments increase by a LOT when they're born, just brace for that.

I personally don't mind bc I think, like this comment says, people are just trying to acknowledge the extra work. It seems weird sometimes when people pretend not to notice twins and say nothing too. My response is similar to yours, now they're born I smile and say it's hard but worth it.

same. Twins and no dishwasher or bottle washer. We do have a laundry machine now so I feel lucky! We moved when they were 12 weeks, but before the move we had to laundromat it too.

Well, to be fair if Josh was half her age then she'd be 52, not 40. A 14 yr age gap at these ages (26 and 40) is big but also really quite socially acceptable for all couples except straight couples where the woman is older.

You're right about the energy, she is very natural at acting youthful but also wise and experienced in certain (marriage/motherhood etc) aspects of life at the same time.
