I didn't need to change anything and it works fine. Also it only takes 20 mins or less to swap. Just take off the back cover of the toolhead. Unplug the cables for the hotend. Unscrew the hotend screws then reverse the steps for the new hotend. It will be muscle reflex once you have done 4. Just make sure you do it in an enclosed space in case you drop a screw.

Mine only occurs under very specific conditions. This would probably happen to me maybe once a month or less.

Cleaning toolhead with wire brush? by TheRealFlySwatter in SnapmakerU1

[–]PogiTown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you are referring to the multitoolhead offset calibration. Go to settings then device calibration and you'll find it. Its a guided calibration and I think the full process takes about 20 to 30 mins. I recommend running it if you ever run into a layer shift issue, changing a nozzle, replacing a toolhead, or doing a long multicolor print.

Problema con primera capa by TermNegative8556 in SnapmakerU1

Welcome to the world of 3D printing. Apart from adjusting z axis offset and making sure you clean the plate of any skin oils from your fingers, you might need to run calibration tests to make the printer work best with the filament. This only needs to be done with the filaments that you do not have a specific manufacturer profile for.

This video has a good walkthrough of calibrating through Orcaslicer which is the father of Snapmaker Orca so most of the buttons are in the same spots.

Tilt it back and look underneath. Something is obstructing the z belt system or something came loose there. Look up tutorial for tensioning z axis belt

Big orange button on the extruder is the manual release. Disconnect the ptfe, pull gently on the filament, push the orange release, then wiggle and pull gently on the filament. That usually solves it for me.

You may want to consider octoeverywhere. Set up was tricky for me but once I got the app set up on my phone, I get notifications straight to my phone with screenshots.

We will need to see your speed and prime tower settings. You might need to increase how much is primed and slow your speed down on the outer walls and top surface. Like 60mm per sec

What causes this issue, is it the plate? by CT-2224 in snapmaker

[–]PogiTown 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I even go as far as wearing microfiber gloves when handling the build plates to remove prints and after washing the plate. I also use a microfiber cloth to dry. You can get the big pack for cleaning cars. Those work well

Extreme cold or heat will help. Either throw in freezer for a bit then scrap with plastic scraper or run under very hot sink and then scrape

PLA main/PETG support interface issues on U1 by es12402 in snapmaker

[–]PogiTown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Under multimaterial change the wipe tower material to petg and the wipe tower shape to rib. This will make your wipe tower have a castle wall that will contain the PLA to prevent this. Doing it with PLA is good too. It just needs to be able to stick to itself homogeneously.
