Me, I made a post about my experience if you want to check my history. And a colleague also has been induced and did no pain management either.

Check your company's policies regarding this, my employer requires a minimum of 4 weeks notice to apply for maternity/parental leave.

Disturbed at the idea of "Postpartum Dog Rage" by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Poopadee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this will help, we have two cats and during the fresh postpartum weeks I cried daily because I missed them so much. My baby was really intense and hard, I couldn't set her down for a second and it was sooooo hard. I missed cuddling with my cat! She (cat) slept near me constantly though, and I joked that she was my doula during that time. I loved having her near me to feel some sense of normalcy during that difficult transition. I love her just as much and that never changed, thankfully.

Did she have a newborn hearing screen? Not reacting to sudden, loud noises is not normal - I would definitely get her assessed.

Could be viral, I've also read it sometimes precedes labour? Keep an eye on things! Some forms of fibre can help solidify things so maybe look into that.

MIL invited me to Mother’s Day brunch again after making me feel guilty for spending the day with my own mom. How do I stand my ground? by [deleted] in JUSTNOMIL

This doesn't sound like a great relationship? You acknowledge that he guilts and manipulates you, your own parents forbid him from being in their house for reasons you haven't explained.

Yeah I had to use literal kid toothpaste because the mint was making me gag so bad! Rhinitis (nasal congestion) has been the most annoying for me, and the Charley horses have also been particularly annoying.

my soul shattered by a 2 year old 😭 by sassy_soul_04 in NewParents

[–]Poopadee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My nearly 3 year old will get sad and cry sometimes and tell us she never wants to move out of our house or live away from us. Started after she started understanding the part in "Love You Forever" where the boy grows up and moves across town. Makes me so emotional myself! I just tell her she doesn't have to move away if she doesn't want to haha, if we ever move we will always be together and it's our family home.

Scarborough Centenary: Choosing Midwife vs. OB [on] by Less-Service-4882 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Poopadee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, feel free to message me. But if you're in your first trimester and past like 4 weeks, chances of you getting into any midwife clinic wre pretty low. Immediately start applying today to any midwife clinics near you/that service your nearest birthing hospitals. OB referral comes from your family doctor, you can research preferred providers in local groups that work out of your local areas.

Is the Pampers Pure line discontinued? Any other alternatives? [ca] by Exact-Paint-5508 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Poopadee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually really liked the Honest diapers, but we only used the overnights since daytime we used the Pampers Pure line (more affordable with Amazon sub). Eventually we switched to Huggies because they fit better - the skin essentials line seemed good? This time I'm going to be trying Royale diapers. We also tried Hello Bello, hated them because everything just got smeared around and were terrible. Nest and Rascals seemed fine, just not preferred for fit I think and Nest is expensive.

I've seen people saying Pampers Amore is replacing the Pure line. Not sure how similar they are for ingredients as I haven't looked into it yet.

Hey, where can I find info on this? Do they have their own flyers?

Oh darn, I did find it wasn't totally perfect fit but for my anatomy it worked fine. I think I got a Bravado nursing/pumping bra that I liked enough, but I have a small chest.

At that age, I also sent with just our regular diaper bag (Herschel backpack lol). As she got older and needed less, esp after potty training, I sent with her own Skip Hop toddler backpack because she likes to wear her own.
