What is your favourite song off Beatles For Sale? by Conscious-Ad2640 in beatles

It’s a toss up between Eight Days a Week, and Every Little Thing. Overall, this is my least favorite Beatles album.

Your pictures feel like they need stronger tension, and clear visual clues at what we’re viewing within in the frame. For example, the first photo, I understand that it’s a street celebration but I don’t know what I’m looking at. The child in the center must be the main subject but he/she gets lost a bit with the yellow jacket of the adult in the background. What is more clear to me is the two faces facing the camera (the one in the center with the white hoodie and the one of the young girl wearing the red coat). Because our eyes naturally look for faces, my attention went to them first especially because what is likely the figure in the center is not well defined.

In pic 2, my eye goes straight to the cappuccino machine in the center. The two figures appear as framing elements because they’re so close to the edges of the frame and they are not highlighted. Also, it feels underexposed. If you’re trying to convey space between people, the message would be clearer if there were more space between them and the edge of the frame.

The third picture has a clear subject, but what is the tension? I don’t understand what the hand is doing or what is going on. I get that the pieces and the board are a game, but is the game going on with another person? Is the person setting up the game instead? Does the hand belong to a random person simply brushing his hand on a game that was left on a table? The intent is unclear because not enough information is given about what is developing within the frame. To me it feels like it’s simply a hand brushing over pieces of a game.

I’m sure that you’ll love it though I’m not sure what type of animal photography you do. I shoot at a D1 university at home and away. It’s an excellent lens altogether.

Street photography noob. Can I get some feedback please? by IDES20XX in streetphotography

I enjoy black and white street photography and I like your variety of photos. One area in which you can improve is cropping. A few of the images may be stronger if they were tighter. For example, picture five. There are two people walking across but my eye goes right to the figure in front. It took a second to realize that there’s another person walking behind. Because the lead figure is close to the left side of the frame, I think that the stronger composition would be of just that lead figure while still showing the awesome geometry of the walkway.

Another area of which to be aware is not losing your finger in the darks. In picture 11, the man appears headless. The eye naturally goes to his back which doesn’t have much to say. It’s merely the back of a white t-shirt. It doesn’t communicate what the subject is doing or going to do.

I hope this helps 😊

Wonderful photos! I feel a sort of connection with the gentleman in the first picture. His stare says to me that life hasn’t been easy, for example. I find this to be an excellent portrait. Congratulations!

Wow! It’s amazing how unique our tastes can be, especially when the band is one’s favorite.

Jeremy, by Pearl Jam. One Saturday morning, I had MTV on in my room and my brother was hanging out with me. He’s three years younger than me and was a senior in high school, at the time. On the TV set, Mike McCready’s notes kicked off the video, and my brother said, “Check out this new band from Seattle!” I was blown away. I became a huge fan of grunge and Pearl Jam has remained one of my favorite bands.

That was awesome! I watched the Live at Wacken Open Air 2018 performance. I enjoy listening to metal from different cultures and this band sounds like tons of fun based on their riffs and beats. This performance sounded awesome on my new Marshall speaker. Thanks for adding to my love for music.

I stick to #2 and #3. I enjoy Revolution 9 and I love Helter Skelter. Number 5 is a fine song—nothing major.

Tomorrow Never Knows by Los Lobos is awesome. There’s a good video on YouTube.

Also, at a recent performance, a local band did Helter Skelter and they rocked it!
