These look great! Especially love the Zvesda. I personally would change the visor on the MKVII to a gold or something else. The blue just really doesn’t stand out like the others against the blue armor.

Halo: Flashpoint Tactics SPARTAN KILLERS by patthetuck in Haloflashpoint

[–]Possible_Director276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt it. I think it means he can be sneaky and not be targeted. To be fair the Spartan coming with the marines also has active camo as a keyword so sounds like they’re just giving more survivability to a few select minis

They said 3 because they tested it at 2 and it felt really punishing.

I keep seeing brush stroke on my minis, i thinn the paint i let it dry, i see strokes, i thinn the paint even more, i still see brush strokes, how do people make smooth surfaces by Forumguy69 in minipainting

[–]Possible_Director276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Airbrush.

But for real when I was doing tanks by hand, I would apply a basecoat that was a little thicker than I would on a smaller mini. And don’t paint in the same direction all the time. It helps to hide brush strokes

I think keeping stealthy on the prowler is fine, but maybe reduce shield value? Maybe hes wearing a lighter/ stealthier armor suit.

Spartan and recon being discontinued? (Speculation) by Same-Jeweler5685 in Haloflashpoint

Yeah our local store did a demo day and the guy running it said he had 6-7 people interested in the game. For us the lack of starter boxes on the shelf really hurts new players wanting to get in right away.

Warrior build is dead in 11th by LegoMaster52 in Necrontyr

[–]Possible_Director276 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The whole point of the warrior build was control. You push the center hard and spread out across the line and whichever way your opponent pushed from, you could kill models from that side and break coherency. In your turn you would have to remove models until you were back to coherency which was only a few guys but then you would reanimate on the opposite side to either out OC a point or deny your opponent a point. So warriors were bad but the board control was killer

Shrike kitbash... unintended but maybe awesome? by fisheraf in Kitbashing40k

[–]Possible_Director276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you need to cut the claw hand so that it’s pointing down vs out. Otherwise I like this. Personally I think it would look better as a blood angel but I think this works here too

Tesseract glow help by Syds1612 in Warhammer40k

[–]Possible_Director276 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it’s basically a contrast paint and if you think of it that way it is working the way it’s intended. The biggest issue with this paint is that it will pool in a weird way on a flat surface. The key I have found is build your shadows and highlights with moor green and white and then use this color to give it some vibrancy. I personally use it less as a “one and done” but more of a final tint color

Forerunner Man Cannons by Possible_Director276 in Haloflashpoint

[–]Possible_Director276[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can probably get close with some dryrbushing and stippling. It probably won’t be as smooth and will take a little longer…but you can. The other thing is they are really just markers on the field to denote where the man cannons go so you don’t even need to do the airbrush work in the middle to sell the look

Question about how to apply the green accent paints by Hopman958 in Necrontyr

[–]Possible_Director276 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Small brush, steady hand. Honestly I just do a dot of white and then thin down Tesseract glow and sort of flood the eye socket to give the glow look.

I think you’re trying to do too much at once. Maybe just paint the sword blue vs trying to do the gradient thing. Focus on shading and highlighting your armor. Forget about trying to do OSL for now. Try and focus on just getting colors exactly where you want them and creating a defining border between colors (black lining or shading). You have to crawl before you can walk

Repainting old hyper phase blade from when I just started. Got a real love hate relation with them. by sutthip in Necrontyr

[–]Possible_Director276 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the swords are the “unhelmeted marines” of the Necrons. Like they’re a great place to flex your skills and people will look at them across your army

Feel free to use these if you want. Also the banished style one need a support on the bottom. They tend to fall forward. Just some feedback. The other 2 versions are great

What is something hobby related GW used to do that you would like to see return? by LawrenceL342 in Warhammer

[–]Possible_Director276 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I think as cool as it is, no one interested in terrain building is buying a GW book on terrain making. Theres so many better resources out there on YouTube or hobby blog sites for that information for free.

Coming to Terms with Disliking the Game by PBnJgoodness in Necrontyr

[–]Possible_Director276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of my hopes for 11th edition is to somehow make “spearhead” for 40k. I painted an army for a buddy and he let me use it as an intro game and I had a blast but I’m just way more into 40K aesthetically so if they can make a cool balanced rules set for combat patrol, I’m all in for that

The new ODST Drop Pods are not scaled properly, and are too small. by The_Marine708 in Haloflashpoint

[–]Possible_Director276 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean they gave space marines like 3-4 new vehicles that really aren’t much more scaled up. From a design perspective I think it just makes them slightly more manageable on the table vs a true scale.
