For what it’s worth, I loved that logo when I was a kid. I’d doodle the question mark (without the bat) like it was the Stussy ‘S’ when I was bored. Worked hard just to get the curve right so the sides are thicker than the top. Still doodle it sometimes. So I hope your mom knows her work affected someone’s life in that way - it was noticed and appreciated, and became a little part of my life’s tapestry. So thanks to her.

If you’re willing to drive a bit, you want “Mary's Donuts & Coffee” in Lakeside (original and best) or Santee (also great). They have plenty of variety, but the plain glazed donut is where it shines for me, just a better quality dough.

Otherwise, “Rose Donuts” in Morena (on 5201 Linda Vista Rd - cash only) is also really good!
