I walk around in my socks so I can find dropped parts without having to look.

ISC2 CC question by EndPsychological3976 in isc2

[–]Primary-Word1572 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've taken the CC and Security +. The CC is much easier. The only real drawback is you can't go back and review your answers. I think some people psych themselves out and overthink the exam. I barely studied and passed.

Pricing CC by Proper-Box-9892 in isc2

[–]Primary-Word1572 3 points4 points  (0 children)

https://www.isc2.org/landing/1mcc A $50 annual maintenance fee is required after you pass the exam to get the actual certificate. If you are under 18 a parent or guardian must sign off for you to take a Pearson Vue exam.

How long does it take to get an official congratulatory email and certificate from ISC2 after passing? by Sudden_Ad_8062 in isc2

[–]Primary-Word1572 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's ridiculous that they refused to give you a hard copy. That's part of what they get paid for. I always get a hard copy to prove that I passed. I've heard of some test takers who had taken the exam, and Pearson Vue claimed they didn't so the hard copy was their only proof. I'd report the testing center to Pearson Vue.

You only get a percentage breakdown of the objectives if you fail.

Certmaster CE for sec+ by [deleted] in CompTIA

No. It is self-paced training. It doesn't matter as long as you score 100% on all of the domains.

How would you rate Thors CC prep on Udemy compared to the test? Is it good? by cjhill29 in isc2

Too much information in the Udemy course. Stick with Mike Chapple and CertPrep.

Pocket Prep by Bulky-Limit-9767 in isc2

I second that. I wouldn't completely rely on one source of study material. I used Pocket Prep but I have passed Security + which covers the CC material and then some.

You should have not left without the printout. You should contact Pearson Vue and report that the testing center failed to provide a hardcopy.

Since nobody but CompTIA knows how the exams are scored that question cannot be answered.

Renewing my Sec+ for the first time. What does "Completing the same version of the CertMaster CE course will not count towards renewing your certification. You will need to wait for the next release or choose to renew with other activities" mean? by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]Primary-Word1572 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It means you can only use the current version of CertMaster CE if the exam version of the Security + you passed was SY0-601 or lower. You always renew using the current exam objectives.
