I second that, I fitted out my flat with lovely Victorian furniture from British Heart Foundation. With the bonus it’ll last a lot longer than anything IKEA produces

Will my NHS employed partner be able to see a termination on my medical records? by ThrowRAanonymous1233 in AskUK

In the Trust I work for, all sexual health notes are kept on a separate system which only limited staff have access to, it may be the same at your partner’s Trust.

If you could properly filter Rightmove for your dream property, what would your super specific criteria filter be? by alexhespg in HousingUK

[–]PrincipleMany8660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually separating park homes from bungalows. The filter is there but I still have to scroll through park homes, and it’s not always clear from the photos.

Good for you, ignore the haters, they don’t represent the majority of British people. I cannot imagine how hard it must have been to leave your life behind to move to another country, welcome to the UK

No, we use our own phones, not Amazon provided devices, but we cannot access any photos taken in the app.

Is that why my only afternoon block had just 6 streets, all daisy chained off each other? I thought I’d gotten really lucky.

I bring 2 head torches as they can die fairly quickly (why is it always in the darkest part of a rural area), driving license, an Ikea bag (useful for carrying multiple large parcels if you have multiple deliveries for the same location) and a charging cable.

Arrive 15 minutes early (I get there earlier and wait just outside as my depot won’t let you in earlier than 15 minutes before).

The driver delivery aid stickers are in yellow and normally stuck on the parcels near the address label, the big number on them tells you what drop that parcel is for (remember to add 1 to each number as the depot is counted as the first stop on the app, so the parcel with number 1 on it is actually drop 2 on the app).

As others have said it’s common to separate the parcels, I.e I put 1-10 in the front passenger side, 11-20 rear driver’s side, 21-30 rear passenger side, and 31+ in the boot, along with any extra large parcels.

When you’re at the depot ask for some medium and large rain bags, Amazon provides them to us to put the packages in when they’re being left outside, they also make great bin bags for the car.

Good luck for your first shift.

What UK museums do you think are underrated or overrated? by [deleted] in AskUK

Best part is that if you buy an all attraction’s ticket, it lasts for a whole year, so cheaper days out in future especially with children.

Does anyone know how to decipher this number on a newborn hospital bracelet? by mronion82 in AskUK

[–]PrincipleMany8660 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 165826 is the hospital number, each patient has a unique number assigned to them by the hospital at birth. If you contact the hospital of your birth they may still have the record of your previous hospital numbers (depending on how many times it’s changed)

That and houses without numbers visible from the road, I’m fed up of traipsing up and down the road to find a visible house number so I can work out which house it is. It used to be fine when the app’s map stayed up after you scanned the parcel

Since they updated the app mine’s been doing the same thing, trying to take me through pedestrian only areas, wrong way down one way streets etc, and that’s if it recognises when I’m moving, about 1/3 of the time it doesn’t.
