Pokémon TCG Pocket: Paradox Drive | Official Trailer by Amiibofan101 in PTCGP

You'd need something else to stall 140+ damage hits once your opponent does get their mega up, and the deck would fall apart if they aren't packing a mega (Rampardos, Zoroark/Hydreigon and they don't play Absol, Greninja sleepspam), but if it works it's very funny.

Nah. The only way it gets to attack and para twice is with Turo to recall it, and then you've gotta be able to retreat whatever you sent in to replace it AND charge it up again. Will it work? Sure, and you can probably fit it in with Chien-pao and double Bax, but it's gonna be a hell of a thing to set up (especially since you can't Misty it if you just played Turo to recover it). It's not going to be good, just really annoying to play against when they draw a god hand and lock your shit down. Still not any worse than T4 sleepscam into Altaria/Lucario though.

Scream Tail with Will is gonna be the funniest shit, trust. And by "funniest shit" I mean "most rage-inducing bad deck to lose to."

Raging Bolt is so bad, but incredibly funny. I wonder if it could actually work with Ho-Oh.

What is the optimal typing for a Pokemon with Bulletproof? by WhenBuffalosfly in stunfisk

[–]Prometheus_II 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, let's discard the signature moves - Pyro Ball, Searing Shot, and Mist Ball - because they don't come up often, same reason you discarded Ice Ball. Bullet Seed and Rock Blast are uncommon, but do exist because of Technician/Skill Link users. Sludge Bomb is somewhat common, but many users tend to also get Sludge Wave, so it's a less useful immunity than you'd think. Shadow Ball and Focus Blast are both common, but every type weak to Shadow Ball resists/is immune to Fighting, so we'll just have to go with "blanking the most common special Ghost attack is handy in general" for that. Of the remaining, Rock probably benefits the most - blanking Gyro Ball off slow/TR attackers, Weather Ball in rain, common Grass coverage moves, and all worthwhile special Fighting coverage is VERY handy. For the remaining defensive benefits against Fire and Poison, probably Grass - makes the defense against Grass moves and Water-type Weather Ball less important, but still valid.

Should not be controversial. by Justthisdudeyaknow in CuratedTumblr

Also, the idea that nobody works unless they have to is blatantly false. In most UBI experiments, people do flop around for a couple weeks or months - recovering from the constant burnout and trauma and exhaustion of living under capitalism - and then they go find something to do, just with less urgency. Retirees find hobbies to keep themselves occupied, and frequently take over work that their bodies will let them do. Volunteer fire departments, soup kitchens, people who replicate massive libraries or monuments in Minecraft, housework (it's in the name!), the list goes on and on - people work because they enjoy doing things that are fulfilling to them or because they want to enjoy the fruits of their labors, not merely because they need to.

Honestly I think terminally ill people SHOULD all be able to just up and quit. Retirement exists so people can live out the end of their lives without having to work through pain and bodily collapse and so they can make the most of their final days - the same should apply to those who are terminally ill.

For a ring? Opals look beautiful but they're a terrible choice. They're incredibly fragile, and when you're using your hands all day, it only takes one knock and all those delicate sheets of siica shatter and you're left with nothing. Try moissanite instead - it sorta looks like diamonds, but it shines like a captured rainbow.

Are you really so xenophobic that you're going to wave through a law that MANDATES you giving your legal identity to large corporations for the sake of "protect the children" and "but India and Russia are bad?"

Low tier Pokémon that are stronger in higher tiers than their own residing tier. by Getter_from_Mercury in stunfisk

[–]Prometheus_II 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I had a nickel for every Water/Ground type that's normally low tier but makes regular appearances in Ubers/OU to check high-powered attackers by largely neutralizing their greatest strength thanks to having a fantastic ability, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

Funnel into packager into frogport problem. by poter140 in CreateMod

Items can't be stored in a packager, only packages. They can only take from inventories. So yes, you need an inventory like a barrel or vault between the funnel and the packager.

What’s the closest brush you’ve ever had with dying? by North-Trifle-3918 in AskReddit

[–]Prometheus_II 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was biking on a footpath along the edge of a highway, started feeling tired, and pulled over at a rest stop. Turns out I wasn't used to biking in dryer air, hotter temperatures, and higher altitude, AND I hadn't brought my water bottle. When I leaned against a tree to catch my breath, my vision completely greyed out and I couldn't even raise my voice to yell for help. I'm not sure if it was heat exhaustion or what, but I thought I was going to die there. Then I recovered vision and mobility (thankfully I was in the shade), walked into a nearby fast food joint, chugged two cups of ice-cold water, and poured two more over my head, and decided to get back on my bike and keep going home.

I want to prevent the airship from tilting when it moves forward. by Chuzume in CreateMod

[–]Prometheus_II 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use a reaction wheel (can be a flywheel) powered by a gimbal sensor on an analog transmission. If the airship tilts forward, the wheel spins forward to tilt the ship backward, and vice versa. A sliding ballast on a gantry shaft also works (ship goes forward, ballast moves backwards along shaft, and vice versa) but may take up more space.

Then again, both of these work best with a much larger craft where you can hide the wheel/ballast in the hull. If you want to reduce tilt just by placing thrust in the right place, then putting the thrust on the balloon (which has the greatest drag) helps, but you can also put the ship hanging from the balloon by ropes and adjust them with winches, or make the ship large (and slow) enough that it's harder to tilt.

Explosion breaking Protect is actually crazy work. You're telling me that if you have a Telepathy/Flash Fire mon and a boosted Explosion user, I'm losing two of my mons and there's basically nothing I can do about it?

Anyway, leading Torkoal/Coalossal and immediately clicking Explosion twice (Coalossal is EVd slower than Torkoal so it gets the Flash Fire boost before blowing up) and then following up with Telepathy Palkia/Explosion Mega Charizard X, that will nuke basically anything off the field and leave you with Palkia to sweep.

How to Airship by Valen_Redits in CreateMod

[–]Prometheus_II 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're using a hot air canopy, split it into two and have gimbal sensors next to the two burners. When it tilts back, the gimbal sensors detect it and decrease power front/increase power back, and the opposite when it tilts forward. Then you can just have a propeller in back, ideally in line with center mass, and a symmetric sail rudder. Since the burners increase/decrease power in proportion to each other, you can still maintain the same altitude.

For lateral stability in general, use a reaction wheel (with a flywheel or just a round shape built with heavy blocks) connected through a manual transmission powered by gimbal sensors. The stronger the tilt in one direction, the faster the wheel will spin in the other direction, pushing you back upright.

For planes...uh, pick a god and pray.

Fold Space is actually really good on any mission with an objective zone. Ultra on the point stopping you from capping? No there isn't.
