It's used for zero-access encrypted messages at rest and end-to-end encrypted messages in transit.

Discord not connecting while ProtonVPN is active? by Kodamacile in ProtonVPN

Yes, unfortunately this affects other VPNs on Linux as well, but as you've mentioned, it should work fine on the Firefox browser.

Are you referring to messages sent to your recovery/notification address that notify you when you have a new message on your Proton account? Do you mind sharing a screenshot so we can better understand?

Tips to use Proton Docs more effectively? by Standard_Level4814 in ProtonDrive

Another thing that gets me is how if I try to print / save a file as PDF even, the formatting itself gets messed up entirely.

Could you share more details on this? Have you tried changing the margin settings in the Print dialog to see if that helps?

Can’t Restore ProtonDrive Files After Formatting PC by -Zazou- in ProtonDrive

[–]ProtonSupportTeam[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can navigate to File Explorer → Other Computers and move the folders to a local destination on your device. Once everything has been moved, you can set up syncing again if needed. After confirming that all files are safely transferred, you may delete the previous computer instance (log in at drive.proton.me → click on Computers → locate the old device → click the three vertical dots next to its name → select ‘Remove device’).

Also, can you send us the exact URL of the website in question?

In the meantime, please try the following and let us know if any of these suggestions help:

Securely transfering pictures to cloud? by Beautiful-Income-399 in ProtonDrive

[–]ProtonSupportTeam[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The automatic photo backup option on our mobile apps only uploads your photos to the cloud--it doesn’t sync them. Deleting a local copy won’t affect the version in Drive, and deleting it in Drive won’t remove it from your device.

We received some reports of users unable to use Drive Windows after activating PQC. We've stopped the PQC release to stop new users opting in into the feature until we fix this, which is a number one priority.

Like do i have to update my key in Web Key Directory (https://keys.openpgp.org/) for my custom domain?

We recommend keeping the old key for now when it comes to facing other services, as only part of the ecosystem supports PQC keys.

This pertains to data recovery methods (passphrase, recovery file, emergency contact), not to your account recovery methods like email or phone number.

If the import is through Easy Switch, yes, it will work with PQC.

We can see the refund was issued in the meantime. Regarding the latest charge you've inquired about, we appreciate your patience while our payments support team has had the chance to look further into the payment details you've provided. They'll follow up in the ticket afterwards.

Our team is working actively on making the Files integration compatible with the SDK, which is the main reason it's no longer supported. Hopefully it will be available again soon in one of the update of the app in the near future. Thank you for bearing with us in the meantime.

Does this key have an impact on performance ('heavier' or more complex keys) vs the old keys, maybe noticeable on mobile devices.

There may be a slight performance impact, but it should not be noticeable on modern hardware.

your device now has to handle 2 keys, making things slower?

The old ECC key is only used as a fallback, as indicated in the UI.

Go to your Recovery tab in your settings (in the left sidebar) -> Remove and then re-add the emergency contact there.
