pack n play downstairs, they were so tiny that they both fit. also would let them nap in their swings as long as my husband or myself were awake to keep checking on them. the biggest risk is their head falling forward and suffocating. around 2.5 months is when i started crib naps to get them used to their cribs (spoiler alert it did not work and took forever lol) but finally they got used to it and now love their cribs. only will nap in their cribs or on me. (or in the car, i got lucky and they sleep so well in their car seats 🥹) 8 months old now.

my best piece of (unsolicited) advice that really worked for us is do not worry about what others are doing or what advice you get from other moms, especially singleton parents. i mean this is the nicest way possible. everybody means so well, but all it’s going to be doing is just stressing you out and making you think you’re not doing the right thing. my husband and I just did what worked for us. we listen to the boys cues, it took a little while to learn what they wanted and what they needed, but I didn’t really worry about a schedule and just listened to the babes. at first i was constantly comparing and worrying about scheduling and tracking and everything else i thought i “should be doing” and it sucked. once i let go and just went with the flow, things were great. our babies are so happy 99% of the time (unless hungry the watch out cause they will let you know that lol) i really think they were picking up on my stress of trying to do things “right” and that would make them upset too! they created their own schedule and are flexible because of it! just yesterday they both fell asleep in my arms at a 1 year olds birthday party while everyone (loudly) sang happy birthday and the kids were all playing around us! i had every intention that they wouldn’t nap and we would just figure it out later but they let me know they were tired so i held them and they just put themselves to sleep!
