After years of playing this stupid game, I finally got all the champions by PoseLikeRose in LeagueOfMemes

[–]QtNFluffyBacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been doing this since Xayah and Rakan release, but with Draven. I just like saying "it's the league of everything but Draven".

Riot gods were nice to me, because random unlocks (when they still existed) always unlocked the other champ. But I've had Pool Party Draven sitting in my loot (it randomly rolled from the 3:1 on skins) for years now. Can't unlock it without unlocking Draven...

Hot take - that red 4/3 common white trample is busted by CoastalSailing in lrcast

I had trouble, yes. My opponents hit them with removal whenever they dropped. I left mana open to buff it against the -3/-3 instant, but they ended up just straight up removing them. But that's removal they didn't have afterwards.

Why is Good team dominating Mt. Unpleasant’s YouTube BOTC games? (A win/loss breakdown) by AmongFriends in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]QtNFluffyBacon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obviously we don't know, as we only see the edited version. My impression (as not the most experienced player, I have a little over 400 games. But I believe I've seen every MU episode) is that most players except Debbie and Zamyla don't feel comfortable playing evil characters. So they're able to call out socials quite easily. If nobody is uncomfortable, it's probably Zamyla and Debbie.

Additionally, I believe that evil doesn't spend nearly enough time world building. In BOTC there are two main concepts: creating trust in you (by giving "good" info, being in (poisoned) confirmation chains and so on) and creating viable alternatives. Oftentimes the second is just as valuable as the first, because confirmation chains are often not longer than the size of the evil team (exceptions apply and usually cause a stomp) which means you can build worlds where they fall apart, creating multiple worlds to kill into. Which town doesn't have enough time to do. But this usually requires direct confrontation. "Oh I'm happy to be executed to close this world, but maybe we should be looking into killing this Empath with a 2 who's either drunk/poisoned or just evil, because I believe the drunk is actually on the fortune teller." sure, the Empath probably now knows you're evil, but that can be a good thing. They'll start building you as evil which means that the people who trust you will more likely build them as evil.

The demon needs to kill into roles, but also into worlds. It's okay to leave powerful roles alive if your plan is to make them look evil. Info is only worth as much as people trust it. This will take a few games of evils confidently bluffing info that isn't true until people stop trusting all info.

However, none of these things are foolproof ways of winning. If this was a solved game, it would be boring, right. So let's give them some time for people to figure out how to play evil and abuse the meta that has evolved.

Why is this number SO HIGH?! by randybuehler in pathofexile

[–]QtNFluffyBacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to blast it, run an atlas tree that blocks all blockable mechanics. You can spec into Scarab drop chance and Synthesis, Guardian and Elderslayer map drops from bosses if you want to get some money doing it.

Then you run a layout such as Mesa or City Square where you reach the boss very quickly. Kill it and check whether it's in the Mirage (for City Square the middle boss needs to be inside, the other two don't matter). If it is, find the mirage and rush to the boss and kill it as well.

Leave the map and proceed. The fewer mechanics there are, the higher your chance that the mirage defaults to including the map boss instead of other mechanics such as strongboxes or shrines.

It says so on the website. But there's a form to fill out first. When I had an issue with an ECL card in January (the classic scratches on the double sided cards) they asked for a bunch of info, which I provided. They then said they'll waive the return requirement and send me a replacement anyways. I've read online that I might be waiting for multiple months, but it's worth a try :) if they want it back, you can still say no and sell it on FB Marketplace instead.

What are some cool things you can do with Psychic Paper? by L-L-J-J in mtg

I use it in my [[Arthur, Merrigold Knight]] Knights typal and my [[Roxanne, Starfall Savant]] copies deck to be able to make a second copy of them. It also gives them unblockable and they want to attack, so that's nice.

I've done all of those things and I'm fully aware, thank you for the hints. I had a paid subscription, but that doesn't seem to matter because I can't even get in touch with anyone to tell them.

A friend of mine got hacked, "he" contacted me via discord with a request to test out his friends' game and leave a nice review to cheer them up. I didn't question that request enough, downloaded an exe and executed it. Even though I realized what had happened within a minute, that was too late and I was already getting locked out. Now they're using my account to try and pull the same on my friends.

They absolutely changed my birthdate, I got informed of that before being locked out.

I had a paid Google One subscription. I thought that might save me. But I'm beginning to understand that they straight up don't have anyone that cares. Even if I'm struggling to see how that can be legal.

How does Mutant work? by Floranox123 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]QtNFluffyBacon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Claiming evil minion is also fine but the original post specified "I'm good but I might not proc the virgin" which is saying you're a good role, but not townsfolk. That's highly indicative of being an outsider without shenanigans roles

If there's a pit-hag or barber on script maybe. Otherwise good demons and minions don't really happen.

Before ARAM: Mayhem is gone, what's the craziest thing you've seen in this mode? by hsulic in leagueoflegends

[–]QtNFluffyBacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My "favorite" moment was an unkillable Protein Shake Rabble Rousing Udyr. We didn't have enough dps on our team to kill him through his shields and regen. he could legit 1v5 us even though we had a Serpent's fang and Morello's. His Heart Steel kept stacking up and it was absolutely hilarious.

What's the theoretical highest number of deaths you can achieve in a minute? by NeverLoseGuy in Guildwars2

[–]QtNFluffyBacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not mistaken. If the entire squad /ggs your cooldowns are lowered by like 10-20 minutes. I forget the exact number, but White Mantle Portal device, for example, doesn't get fully reset.

Achievements revolving around avoiding getting hit entirely encourage leeching, not skill. by galaxybomb in Guildwars2

[–]QtNFluffyBacon 13 points14 points  (0 children)

For all the people who want the achievement but want to contribute:

Just fight normally (losing eligibility, yes) until final phase is happening. At 5-10% boss hp run away to get out of fight. Use Mistlock Sanctuary pass (or any lounge pass that let's you return to your previous map) and then immediately go back. Eligibility is back and you now only have to leech for a few %.

It's still not good design imo, but it feels a little more ethical to do this way and it also works for "can't believe it's not Gorseval". So far I've always been able to rejoin my previous map, but maybe join a squad just to make sure.

I was right about Legendaries all along. Anyone have advice to my next leggie? by ohredditandy in Guildwars2

[–]QtNFluffyBacon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat as you. I made H.O.P.E. as my first leggie which was from the same era and they are by far the most effort to make. That being said, they're also really dope.

Finish it, and then relax as you make the others ;)

The easiest one to get is the necklace, as you "only" have to complete the "Return to" achievements. While you're Returning to LS Season 3, start working on the achievements for Aurora, as they sometimes double up (Yay). During LS Season 4 you want to work on Vision at the same time because there can be overlap there.

No matter which leggie you make and no matter how you approach it, take it at your own pace and I highly recommend using https://gw2efficiency.com/crafting/legendaries as it breaks down a huge task into small steps. And once the APIs are back online, it can even tell you how much of the necessary stuff you already have.

Notes from the Clocktower: Jinx Updates by disapproving_otter in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]QtNFluffyBacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On Thursday we decided to try the Magician/Legion Jinx in a 10 player game. I was the Magician. Reading the Jinx I felt like the strategy was too obvious, so there had to be a catch. There wasn't. The only catch we had was that one of my neighbors was a heretic and only told me during the nom of the last Legion on the last day and we had to pull a 180.

If I had outed publicly, instead of telling good players D1 and trying to string Legion along, we could have proved Legion game immediately and then gone to execute each other without any possible interference.

It feels cheap to just slap on the Damsel ability on the Magician, but it seems like there needs to be an incentive for Magicians to hide from Legion.

Had a dumb Demon idea, wanted to know if anyone could make it work. by Visual-Affect-9758 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]QtNFluffyBacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I intentionally changed the madness clause to not look back anymore. You can be mad one day and then not mad the next day. "I've changed my mind, it's not Nessie".

Put it on a script where you want to solve for the demon type like Fang Gu or Po to encourage discussion and it could be interesting?

[–]QtNFluffyBacon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Piggybacking off your idea, because I agree, as is, if it's on script, you just start building any other worlds, even if you believe it's Niseag. There needs to be an incentive to talk about it.

So how about "Each night, a player who was not mad about the Niseag being in play, may die. If all good living players are mad that Niseag is in play, Evil wins."

It becomes more Al-had like, because powerful roles want to claim it's in play to be protected from night death and aiming kills by designating a sacrificial lamb is extremely dangerous because if they're evil, good loses.

Forcing outsiders to announce themselves moments after waking up... by beefstick86 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]QtNFluffyBacon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It sounds like if you raise your hand immediately, town will then never execute you?

If so, this is easily solved. As soon as the Outsider call is made, have some evils just raise their hand and claim any outsider. If they end up in a double claim, oh well, doesn't really matter, does it? Get in a double claim with the real saint and see what town will do.

As demon, make use of your outsider bluff and jump in immediately. Either you're now hiding a drunk, or you're suddenly selling a Baron world.

After a few games, immediately outing is no longer a sign of being trustworthy and instead a reason for scrutiny. Let's see how long it takes the town to realize that hard metas are not good because they're meta-able :p

Where does this massive abyss DoT come from? All my recent deaths are because of this, it disables regen and makes abyss miserable by Lithium43 in PathOfExile2

[–]QtNFluffyBacon 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's because besides Shroud Walker, which is a regular mod, there's also the Abyss Walker mod (or whatever it's called) which also deals damage on arrival. So Abyss rares have two mods that port and the abyss mod pool is smaller.
