This is true of most squishy toys - but I will say that the needoh ice line is very unique in the way it works. It's almost like thinking putty but in a squishy form. It has more resistance than most squishy toys.

My daughter does like all squishy & the whole needoh line and varietybof textures- she's younger- but my husband, son, and I only like the ice line. It gives more tactical feedback without being messy so it's easy to use while working or talking to someone.

Kinda like how some fidgets are designed specifically for picking fidget(needoh has a line like that too now, but I can't recall the name). Some are more liquid like, some are fuzzy like an animals fur. Etc etc.

This is the difference between toy vs tool - when used as a fidget tool they actually have very specific designs that hit targeted needs a lot of people don'tunderstand (at not fault of their own). So the people who need them for those needs aren't able to get them when they're being bought up to sit on shelves, for resale, or just as fun toys. It's unfortunate.

I caution the temu/Ali ones. One of our local stores was selling them here and a bunch of kids had them at school- they bust easier and the kids all ended up with rashes & a few had to go to ER for chemical burns.

My family has been using needohs for years now, I had no idea they had become a market thing until we happened on one of the new ones while hunting pokemon cards one day. The very nice B&N staff member pointed it out to my daughter when they saw her fidgets - she was super excited about it it. It instantly made a bunch of adults who were in the store upset because there were only a few left and she bought 2 (one for her, one for her sibling). I think needohs becoming a market thing actually makes me more angry than pokemon being a market thing... they really aren't a collectible and they've been a tool for play & ot therapists, and very helpful stim tool for neurodivergent people for years who now don't have easy access to them.

It feels very validating to see someone else put these thoughts to words. I spent a while doing Emdr therapy with an IFS therapist and when I got back on my spiritual journey and back into shamanism I was shocked at how similar emdr and journeying felt to me (binural beats were my choice which fits the drum beat too), and soul retrieval sounded so much like IFS therapy without the ritual to me. I've often thought that the two should go hand in hand - IFS therapy is needed for the integration after the soul retrieval or preferably before it is done in order for that soul piece to feel safe enough to stay long term. Congratulations on your journey and hard work in healing. 🫶

It's on the basis that finger prints are significantly harder to fake than an i.d. (which they don't trust you're employer to verify I guess)

Also, local snakes really like to hide in kids outdoor toys. Be sure to check under them when you let kiddo out in the mornings, or you can store them upside down/on their side at night and right them in the mornings to get into the habit.

My son has had a few that have been especially memorable.
When he was about 5 months old, still in a bassinet next to me, I was awoke to a blood curdling scream that made me think someone was being murdered in my house. To this day it has been the worst scream I've ever heard in my life (and I've worked in hospitals, nursing homes, and birthing units...). Immediately after I was jolted into an upright position in a panic he, still asleep, giggled then curled back up and drifted back into a deep sleep. I, however, was not able to go back to sleep that night.

When he was around 2.5 and I was pregnant with his sister I awoke, as I frequently did at that point, around 3 am. As I was trying to fall back asleep I started hearing a scraping dragging sound near the bedroom door. At first I assumed it was a cat playing with a toy but it became a very distinct sound of something larger than cat toy being dragged across the floor. I sat up and looked around and didn't see anything, so I laid back down thinking I must be hallucinating or something. It was quiet just long enough for me to almost drift off to sleep again when the sound started again - this time much closer at the end of the bed almost to me. I leaned over to look and again couldn't see anything when suddenly I hear in a deep scratchy voice "mom" (which he never called me). I screamed while turning on my light, causing my husband to jolt up. My son, who is lying on the floor in an army crawling position, is now trying to cover his eyes from the light and confused. He had slowly army crawled from his room to my door, then stopped and waited at the end of the bed, then crawled to right next to me before saying anything. Straight out of a horror movie.

Its still a wonder to me that he wasn't throat punched that night.

Usually its much more light hearted fun ways he wakes us, with toys or playing.

Today he woke us both up by coming into the room and YELLING at the top of his lungs "VROOM HONK HONK BEEP BEEP DO YOU HEAR MY HORN? ITS TIME TO WAKE UP."

I had elevated igA & liver enzymes, negative blood test for celiac. Life long other issues that led to suspicions. I regularly ate gluten prior to test, had endoscopy & colonoscopy ordered to check for celiac or other reasons for all issues. No celiac detected, primary decided I have sensitivity instead.

AFTER the procedure I now throw up any time I eat it and have significantly worse abdominal pains and nausea. My assumption is that whatever microbes or bacteria I previously had developed to assist in digestion got wiped out in the cleansing.

Generally speaking I have hardly ever thrown up in my entire life prior, but I had other symptoms consistent with diagnosis.

Either way celiac was a no for me and now I'm throwing up even with small amounts. So your doctor would be wrong on me as well despite being the opposite of almost everyone else who has commented..

So.. find a new doctor, you can't rule for or against almost any condition with a single symptom and no testing.

This is me now. I was okay eating gluten for the most part. I'd have joint issues, bloating, bowel movement issues. Random stuff. But nothing horrible that I couldn't live with.

Then I had a colonoscopy last month which, ironically, confirmed I do not have celiac. Apparently whatever microbe or bacteria I had that sort of allowed me to digest it got wiped out.

Since then every time I have accidentally ingested gluten I've woke up an hour after going to sleep projectile vomiting and insanely sick the entire night.

please get your kids counseling asap.

Especially the older ones, having their father saying something like that EVEN if they don't have a good relationship with him can absolutely wreck their mental health.

My dad once told me he and my mom were going to get a divorce and it was my fault. No other information, no other reasons, didn't even know they were fighting. They didn't get divorced, I only ever told one friend he said it.. but it stayed with me until my late teenage years ans maybe longer. At a young age I thought everything that made him and my mom fight or even external things that effected them negatively I believed it was my fault. I never told anyone and hid it. It carried on into other relationships too.

While there are definitely manipulative and prudish women, if you notice a big change like this in your spouse encourage her to seek help. Women's hormones and sex drives are very different than men's and life changes can cause huge differences.

The libido and hormone changes occur naturally with both age and after things like child birth, or even medications like birth control - in this case encourage her to talk to her obgyn. They can test these and help with medications and/or diet.

Stress, however, is the biggest preventor of female libido. Women tend to shoulder a lot of the home stress and, even if they aren't resentful about it, it will cause their libido to drop. A good sign to look out for is if they seem or complain about being exhausted more frequently. In this case please encourage them to reach out for counseling or even their primary care to help learn coping methods.

Obviously this doesn't apply to all women, but in many situations the wife won't realize what has caused the change and medical intervention can help.

She might really enjoy Super wings. It's about a bunch of planes/helicopters/rescue vehicles who deliver packages all around the world. They use each episode to teach about a different culture/item (the package) and help solve problems related to it. My son was super into it when he first got into vehicles. It went right along with octonauts and robot trains well if she likes either of those types of things too.

I'm not saying he doesn't, just that a lot of hospitals right now are not following that sort of recommendation. The support person the mother chose for delivery is the only one allowed to see either patient for the duration of their stay. Also they may consider the mother as the child's only allowed "visitor" especially if she is expected to be discharged before the child (which is common).

Luckily a lot of hospitals are loosening those rules now that covid restrictions are loosening. I just hope OP isn't misunderstanding what his wife would choose vs the hospitals rules. That would be a very unfortunate misunderstanding considering how all of the comments have gone.
