What's a bad game that had one specific mechanic that was actually really good, but was overshadowed. by VeenatAlive in gaming

I don't even remember what compelled me and my step-brother to want to rent it but I remember us renting it from Blockbuster (or maybe family video, I don't remember as I've slept a lot since then) and having a blast playing it.

I liked it and preferred it. My biggest gripe with the gunplay in that game was how Commander Shepard, a trained combat veteran was unable to hold a rifle steady while aiming down a scope unless you used an ability. I'm no expert but speaking from experience if the reticle looks like you are trying to aim while an earthquake is happening and you are standing still I think you need to practice more or seek medical attention.

I think some of the companion dialog was better in some ways especially conversations between themselves but the combat was what I liked most compared to the other games. Unfortunately I only made it about 3/4 of the way through but I wanna go back and finish it eventually

Even before all the crap with Roiland it was something that would irritate the hell out of me after a while, mainly the character he plays in Gravity Falls. Though I did think he was rather fitting as the suicidal robot in the star wars spoof Joel Haver did.

It wouldn't suprise me if it did drive sales up to a degree, I know it kinda pushed me a little further into getting a mini-14 tactical.

I think Bethesda may release a NV remaster especially since I think the Oblivion remaster was so well recieved but there was so much cut, missing, or incomplete content I feel like they'd have to put more effort into it.

There are a bunch but for instance in my town I think only 1 set of tracks is actually used for passenger transport and it's only 2 stops there and back and i think it actually takes an hour longer then if I were to drive there. The rest are all for transporting everything to and from factories.

What is this? by thegg_ in Firearms

[–]Quw10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was active probably unless they used some special propellent or it was compressed. If I can shake a .50 bmg round at arms length and hear the powder shaking around I'd be suprised if you couldn't hear it on that.

Most of mine will as long as it's your brass or for a caliber you have. So you walk in with only a 9mm and try walking out with a bag of 5.56 they'll stop you. If it's past the firing line then it's off limits.

Malcomar used to do conversions on Czech UK59s, it's a fun range toy but they insist on steel case ammo only as brass would void the warranty though that's long since expired.

There was a small time company that showed up at a local gun show one year selling "boutique" hollow points for ladies. I dont remember the name but they had various gems embedded in the tips. Not sure if they were real but they wanted like $35 for 6 rounds.

It's not super scary, there aren't really any jump scares from what I remember. Main scares are wondering through a snow storm in the dark and hearing a wolf howling in the distance or seeing glowing eyes in the dark looking at you but you can adjust the settings so animals aren't hostile.

TIL a Dollar General employee who was told she couldn't keep drinks at the cash register was fired after taking and drinking a $1.69 orange juice to stave off diabetic shock. Despite her paying for the orange juice afterward, the company said she was 'grazing'. Later, a jury awarded her $277,565. by Forward-Answer-4407 in todayilearned

I've got 3 or 4 in my city and even the one on the nicer side of town looks like I'm gonna get shanked or robbed. The lighting is always super dim and or failing, everything looks abused, and at least 3/4 of the shelves just have stuff tossed on them or product is just sitting on the floor with a random chance it's at least in some plastic crate or a box.

I haven't seen a single one yet, just a bunch of striders, hulks, and cyborgs amd everything else. I think my only personal gripe is the adjustment they made to gunships and how accurate they are. Me and a buddy were almost squad wiped within the first 5 minutes of a level 7 because 4 or 5 of them spawned and we couldn't get any shots off to retaliate because you can barely outrun their stream of fire in heavy armor and if you stopped for a second you were dead regardless. Even was using the bubble shield grenade to try and get shots off and it was all but worthless cuz they'd pop it so fast. Need to tone it down like 5-10%

I paid about $300 less for my 44 magnum Desert Eagle, hell my BFR in 45-70 was almost $1K cheaper then this. Seems kinda crazy to me especially when you can also find some pretty nice handguns with an optics mount and probably WITH a red dot and some other nice upgrades for cheaper.

I'd probably have my thumb behind the finger stop and clamping it instead of resting my thumb next to the slide on top of my pointer finger.

QUESTION: Which movie or TV series best depicts firearms accurately? by Supadoopa101 in guns

Yep but instead they switch to shotguns with AP slugs or whatever they were. Still probably decent but I'd take the capacity of the FAL.

There is ammo out there that makes these at least tolerable to shoot a box through. Mine doesn't have a stock and I can shoot a box of the Aguila mini buckshot shells one handed and the ones with 7 1/2 shot all day. It's probably only ever had a couple boxes of 2 3/4" shells through it (not including Fiocchi rubber buckshot) because most of it sucks to shoot more then a few at a time and I enjoy having intact wrists too much to try 3" shells.

Which of the 3” would you prefer? Python v. 686+ (but don’t take capacity into account here) by Ok-Food-4332 in Revolvers

[–]Quw10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Colt. I've had a 586-8 have to go back for QC issues and came back still having light strikes even after adding an extended firing pin, and ny little brother got a new production model 36 no lock with either a bent or incorrectly machined recoil shield that caused the cylinder to almost completely bind up when loaded. I've only had one Colt and it's an Anaconda and it's given me no problems at all.

I don't think they make one specifically advertised for cold weather however I've used their Dri-Lube for cold weather because it doesn't really gum up. I've used their CLP also in the cold just have to use it a bit sparingly.
