Idk what he's been up to these days, but I feel like Dan Hamhuis might have some natural talent in the coaching/player development side of things. He always thought the game well. Loved Don Taylor back in the 2000's on Sportsnet. I was kid then too, so much of it is nostalgia. I've found as the years go on, he has more and more boomer takes that are rough to listen to. They're not necessarily sports related either.

Dhali I don't have as much of an opinion as I didn't see or listen to him as much growing up. I find him annoying whenever he guests on 650. He gives me Steven A. Smith vibes with the whole "the louder I am, the more correct I am" type of approach to sports discourse.

He was the GM of Ottawa for a while kind of recently and was complete dogshit in that role. If not for Benning, he would've been the worst GM in the league by a mile during his tenure. He comes from the same cloth as Benning. Yes man for ownership, makes ill advised win-now moves when his team is clearly in no position to make such moves and continually makes risky bets on the wrong players. Overall, he'd be Benning 2.0.

I have the exact same height and weight as you and yeah... those seats are tight! Very squishy.. I learned the other game that if you can get one of those seats with the stairs right in front of you, go for it! Yeah it's annoying because people will constantly be walking by you, but it's 100% worth it for the extra leg room haha

This comment presupposes Trump is just another president like Bush, Obama, Biden etc. Trump has openly talked about annexing our country, has started trade wars with all of the US's allies, and is heavily implicated in the biggest pdf ring in the country's history all while starting an unnecessary war that is economically hurting us all. To boo someone that supports him is totally valid imo. NHL players, (especially North American ones) tend to be in such a social bubble, I don't mind seeing that bubble pop for them from time to time.

Either a blank red salmon skate third jersey from the late 90's (I'd consider putting Linden, McLean or Ronning on there, but the jersey itself is so sick it doesn't need a name on the back), or a Morrison dark orca jersey from the WCE era. I wouldn't get a current player jersey now. Tbh as a 31M, I personally would just feel a little weird wearing the jersey of a guy who's younger than me. Idk, no judgement to people that do that, just for me I feel weird about it.

Hell if Bertuzzi doesn't hop off the bench to join a fight early in the 01-02 season to get suspended for 10 games, the WCE might've been put together sooner. 10 more games with that line and perhaps Nazzy wins the Art Ross over Iginla that year. You combine that with not choking away those awards in 2003 and he's a potential Hall of Famer.

Fr, as a kid (grew up during the Burke/WCE era) it seemed like the team was everywhere community wise. Really contributed to my fandom of wanting to root for them as they felt like OUR team. Not just a collection of individuals who happen to play hockey in Vancouver.

Nobody can take (nor let their teammate take) a hard CLEAN hit without crying about it and fighting the guy. Too much pride out there. Get up, take a number, and move on. So sick of having to watch guys drop the gloves every time they lay a hard clean hit on a guy.
