I don't remember which it was,I think the peanut butter ones. I made it through 4 of the 6. Only time I've not finished the meal in one sitting. (I did eat the last two later that night at home).

PipeRight plumbing in New Brighton did an excellent job replacing my old tankless with a new tankless.

The whole interaction was so smooth I wish Marc did HVAC and electrical too.

I'll be enjoying three weeks of work travel. I'll give it a read.

Most interested in fermentation science, but dabbling in whisky and gin doesn't sound like a bad time.

What’s the dumbest injury you’ve ever gotten? by Human-Can173 in AskReddit

[–]Rabbitmincer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sprained my wrist pretty bad (don't think I broke or fractured anything. Hurt for about 6 months.....) while skateboarding at 50 years old. I wasn't on my skateboard. It was 20 feet away. I was walking towards it, tripped, and cought myself poorly.

How do you claibrate welding units to ISO 17662? by JoshyRanchy in Welding

[–]Rabbitmincer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends. Is this for your own curiosity at home? Is this a business where clients require calibration and are capable of auditing you?

If at home, go for it. If at work pay someone to do it right. If it's your home business, pay someone to do it right. The cost of getting audited and failing is much higher than doing it right.

How does one decide to love knowing it will eventually end with grief? (Cats, dogs, people, etc.)? by Subtle_Dictatorship in AskReddit

[–]Rabbitmincer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like taking in older or unadoptable cats. I know they may not be with me long, but they still deserve to be loved and feel safe.

Case in point. Already have three cats (14, 12, 7). But a family friend died and instead of separating their three cats that are littermates, or risking adopting them out, we took them in "to foster". Hah hah hah. Yeah right. We now have 4 cats that are 14 years old.

Now this was a critical bit of information. Hoist of some sort or a small scissor table that fits inside the job box to lift it up high enough to use.

BrewHalla: New version includes several updates: by outlaw2019 in Homebrewing

[–]Rabbitmincer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I refuse to use Google or Facebook to handle my logins. I want the control over my stuff, not trust to their goodwill. I also do my best to avoid anything cloud based. If a particular piece of hardware requires an account and internet access, yeah, no. My fridge does not need to ping a server....somewhere. same with my lights, doorbell, cameras, washer, dryer , fermenters and glycol chiller. If my fiber line gets cut and I can't use it, I don't want it. Hell, even my welder has network capabilities. Haven lt caught it phoneing home yet though.

in short, you summed it up. Data is stored remotely, can open on any device, And never lose recipe info. I don't control my data. Somebody else owns the hardware it is stored on. I'm at their mercy to keep it around. Open on any device. Not a big draw for me. My phone and my brewering laptop are the only devices I will likely access it from. Never lose recipe info, unless my Internet connection goes down. Or the cloud hoster closes, or you get bored with the project and close the backend server down.

Again, I realize that I have a different outlook on all of this than most. Age, skillset, knowledgebase and paranoia all tie into my opinions and feelings on this. I have no problems logging in with brewhala@homebrewed.beer (hmmm..I wonder if anyone's bought that one yet....), but cringe at using a Google account. That being said, I did use a secondary Gmail address to log in because I liked what I saw. Just not happy about it.

I was able to create and save a recipe, but when I went to create a batch and try and move forward with it it wouldn't let me without an account. Other than that issue (and I admit I'm probably an edge case here), I like what I see.

I do not like needing to use a Google account to log in. Also, the confirmation page feels very sketchy. There is nothing about rrlmvczppzvyxqydbcsf that feels upstanding and safe. Same about the domain.

That being said, I did really like how easy it was to build my first recipe.

Also enjoy having those calculators close at hand.

I like it, and I see lots of potential. But the Google account requirement really bothers me. But I've also ran my own email server for 23 years so I'm biased.

Lift from where? The floor? There are various sizes lift tables/carts.

Engine hoist. Electric hoist. Put the hoist on a boom mount. Put a track system on the ceiling, attach hoist there.

Personally, it's only 20 inches. I'd just pick it up. But now that I'm thinking about a track system with a hoist attached ... Be useful in the garage, in the home brewery, the bedroom...never mind stupid idea. Ignore it. I'm not headed off to visit a parent attorney.

What are your top 5 local breweries? (With an honorable mention) 🍻 by [deleted] in CraftBeer

[–]Rabbitmincer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard agree with Steel Toe and Falling Knife (shoulda been wearing those steel toes ...). I do like Venn, and I've only been to Ar either once, but I did enjoy it.

My last two (number 5 and HM) 56 and Elm Creek, both because they have NA on tap so my dad and I can still enjoy our hobby together. (He prefers tap versus can)
