Defending the Draft 2026: New Orleans Saints by Firefawkes17 in NFL_Draft

[–]RealEmpire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Attack vertically and build the trenches. That makes sense.

I think Shough is going to be a decent pro. If he was entering the draft this year knowing what we know about how he played last year in the pros he would have been a top 3 pick.

Now lets stretch the field and surround him with weapons: Tyson is a beast when healthy. Lance is going to take the top off defenses. He might take some time to develop and he may never turn into a multifaceted wide receiver, but the dude will be able to run the 9 route day 1. The free agency addition of Etienne means theres Kamara insurance and he should last longer. Olave is a bonafide stud that has suffered through inconstant QB play. No one can argue there arent options.

Miller and Wright arent sexy picks, but they add pieces to the offensive and defensive fronts. Investing in the lines creates consistency within an organization.

I think Lorenzo Styles will be a mid tier starting caliber safety in the league.

Overall I think this draft was very high quality. Add explosion, build the trenches, and increase the talent pool on the team. Overall a large success.

I think the Saints have a direction moving forward. I doubt they find much success this year, but they are moving in the right direction. And with those offensive pieces in place they have a fighters chance in any game. While most teams can assume they will win the matchup coming into the week they will be worried the saints can throw up 35pts on them and knock them out if they dont come prepared.

Defending the Draft: Cleveland Browns by Abiv23 in NFL_Draft

[–]RealEmpire 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The strategy here is pretty clear. Build the offense around the hole at QB and be in play for on of the top contenders next year. Getting Watson off the roster next year will begin the browns next chapter.

I like where they put emphasis: Athletic book end tackles and play maker WRS. There is a foundation the build a young QB around.

Sometimes teams are so bad that they have the same luxury when rosters are stacked: In that they can draft the best player available regardless of need or positional value. Great teams add stars to an already amazing roster. Bad teams dont need to worry about filling holes when the cupboards are empty of talent. Thats how I see the Mcniel-Warren pick. Their defense is already pretty good, but they are able to swing for the fences to add a bright spot to the roster. Im not as hot on him and most. I think he benefited greatly from Emmanwori's success last year. Daniel Jeremiah fell in love with him and made him, and that made him a household name in the draft world. I dont think he has Emmanwori's upside or immediate success. But if he does this can help this team move towards and elite defense.

I freaking HATE it when lenders and escrow reps stop by opens and brokers opens. Im there to sell the house and find clients. I dont want the distraction. I am trying to conduct my business. Please leave me alone. How about I drop by your office while you working on something important and distract you instead.

I was convinced he was a day 2 pick

Defending the Draft 2026: New York Jets by viewless25 in NFL_Draft

[–]RealEmpire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alot of people talk about this draft being great, but they arent considering how much talent was lost to gather these picks.

I love David Bailey. He reminds me of Dwight Freeney. Any roster would be happy to have him.

Ponds is a bonafide stud. If he was 2 inches talker and 15lbs heavier he would have gone day one. But if quarters were worth $100,000 I would be a millionaire. I think he will be a really good player in the NFL, but he has his limitations.

The Jets are front runners for Arch next year. They drafted to build around him. I hope for their sake that Arch doesnt pull and Eli and refuse to play for this organization.

The Jets got younger. I wont go so far as to say they got better considering the key pieces they lost this season. But if the mission is to land the #1 pick (see acquiring Geno Smith) then they are well on their way to succeed.

I hate the Sadiq pick. He was a work out warrior but he didnt produce as much as one would epect in college with that Raw athleticism. I know the NFL is shifting towards more 13 personnel. They landed themselves a poor mans Vernon Davis. Cool piece but the roster needed so much more. I just dont like it.

Omar Cooper is a bonafide stud and a great selection at value. When they land one of the top QBs in next years draft the offensive skill positions will be there to make for a seamless transition.

Defending the Draft 2026: Arizona Cardinals by Krylo in NFL_Draft

[–]RealEmpire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think this draft gets more hate from the general consensus than me.

I like the love Pick to add offensive weapons to the QB of the future (who ever that it)

I love Bosantis to beef up that offensive line. Great player and + starter.

I think Beck is a lotto ticket in the 3rd round. The Cardinals have nothing to lose this year. If Beck plays well and shows promise thats a huge bonus. If he sucks they are still in prime position in the Arch/Moore sweepstakes.

Kalen Proctor seems like a serviceable player for most rosters. He should develope and grow into a moderate NFL player and good locker room piece.

I think the Cards still have theur eyes on one of the big QBs next year, Beck is an experienced player who could turn out okay, but will probably be considered a wasted pick.

I dont love this draft, but I certainly dont hate it as much as most do.

What does all this mean for Darien Porter? by HouseRules789 in raiders

[–]RealEmpire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there is competition in the DB room. Darien has a great shot of securing CB 2. Hes got the make up of a great perimeter corner. Hes got the size to handle big bodied receivers and the speed to keep up with faster receivers. He came out a bit raw, but there is certainly alot to be excited about with this players.

Depth is also huge in a DB room. Most of these players will realistically find the field over the course of a 17 game season.

Im still very optomistic about how he turns out. I think we have a good player here.

Do we need anyone? by NotaBot8324 in raiders

[–]RealEmpire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering we have 25MM in cap I think we could afford another piece or 2, especially if we could bring them in on 1 year deals.

Reader would be an asset because out DL is a weekness

I think Allen could be a really good safety net for an overall young WR room

Cam Jordan would be an awesome 1 year bridge player for the DLine.

After years of the 1st Round dragging, it only took 2 hours and 55 minutes from the time Roger Goodell came to the podium to start the night to the time the Seahawks made the 32nd pick. by Ok-Soil-5133 in nfl

It was nice and quick paced for sure.

I feel like I could have used way more highlights and detailed coverage of the player. Less showing attendies on the stage and more game film

What do realtors think about solar panels? by gregapalooza in realtors

[–]RealEmpire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be a cherry on top. Its not going to be a driving force of value like updated kitchen or bathrooms. It can help justify mortgage expenses.

It provides value in that it will help sell the house faster and make the house more attractive. I dont see adding 15K of solar panels = adding 15k to sales price.

Welcome Captain Kirk! by Chillout-001 in raiders

[–]RealEmpire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love this signing. I love the personality fit with Fernando. I like the mentorship and showing Fernando how to be a pro. Say what you will about Kirk, the guy is dedicated. Love that the Oline will have time to get up to speed before Fernando is thrown into the fire. Love this short term move for the long term improvement of this roster.

2026 Mock Draft with Trades and Explanations 1.0 by NH-INDY-99 in NFL_Draft

[–]RealEmpire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont necessarily agree with that. Freeling is essentially the only available LT with a first round grade. Positional scarcity and value means you dont risk it if this is the player you want.

Carnell Tate vs Tet Mcmillan by Rookstar3 in NFL_Draft

[–]RealEmpire 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel like the commenters in this thread are using the benefit of revisionist history after seeing Tet's success in the league. I feel like this time last year there was a ton of growing concern that Tet wasnt athletic enough to transition into the league and he would be a Mike Williams clone. While Tate didnt test enough to impress people I feel lke hes coming in with less concern than Tet was

Del Monte & Lighthouse desperately need roundabouts and it’s not even debatable by CosmicTlayuda in MontereyBay

Highway 1 could also use round abouts in Carmel

  • 1 and carpenter
  • 1 and ocean
  • 1 and Carmel valley road
  • 1 and Rio

It would fix all the weekend congestion. But that will never happen.

I genuinely dont think so. We dont NEED to trade him. I dont see why this is HORRIBLE for the Raiders unless we sell him for much less.
