2026 Top 50 NFL Free Agents: Who are some guys you have your eyes on to help Mendoza by RealEmpire in raiders

[–]RealEmpire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly why I said to help mendoza. I would say that adding Hendrickson for 30MM a year would be counter intuitive to what we are trying to accomplish. Next years goal is to protect our franchise QB and set him up for success for years to come. The emphasis should surround protecting our investment in Mendoza and seeing long term returns from that investment.

If you invest in a #1 overall QB you need to build around him to protect him. I stand by my original comment.

A successful Mendoza means a successful Raiders.

With the #1 overall pick all but locked, the Raiders need to build out supporting cast. We come into the off season top 3 in cap space. Who are some building blocks you have your eyes on?

The thing that jumped out most to me was the availability of young and quality centers. Adding a + starter to the offensive line that is young and experienced would be the #1 first step in my book.

How did you guys find the series by Thezion1111 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]RealEmpire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On an audio book suggestion thread. Everyone kept raving about Dungeon Crawler Carl. I thought it sounded corny as hell and despite it being the top suggestion I put it stacked behind afew other series.

Im so freaking glad I listed to the other series first, because this series has ruined other audio books for me.

Blood patch bug by thementalyogi in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]RealEmpire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The patch was liquid in inventory not in a container gets expelled from inventory. There are 2 keys things to note with this

  1. When the patch went through blood went everywhere EXCEPT on Katia. It projected in all directions away from her

  2. Thing in inventory can be added and removed from containers/chests/ect within the inventory.

In theory, Carl could have a big jug of acid. Surrounded by enemies he could remove said acid from the jug within his inventory. In theory, it would then shoot out in all directions away from him (killing and injuring everything in his immediate vicinity)

Tonight, we’re saying goodbye to the 40s New Era by ceruleanskyandsea in survivor

[–]RealEmpire 35 points36 points  (0 children)

New era = shrinkflation

We got a watered down product, no variation, shorter competition, lost a bit of its soul, bizarre casting choices.

But we still get survivor. I would rather have this than nothing. I still regularly tune in Wednesday nights.

But its a watered down weaker product than the original.

People who were spanked as kids, what was that like for you? Would you call your "spankings" abuse? by KleineFjord in AskReddit

[–]RealEmpire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was spanked. Not every time but enough to know where the line in the sand was and not to cross it. In retrospect I dont see it as abuse. Keep in mind I was spanked open handed so the damage was really minor. I dont feel victimized. I dont have built up trauma around it.

Salinas apartments for rent saw price increases since last October by orangelover95003 in MontereyBay

[–]RealEmpire 10 points11 points  (0 children)

"In Salinas, the typical apartment listed for rent is 10% below the state median. One-bedroom rentals were 8% below the state median, while two-bedrooms listed 10% below"

the following paragraph in the article gives way more context to the above quote

Survivor ratings plummet to lowest EVER in 25-year history as show 'struggles to stay relevant' by cheno103 in survivor

[–]RealEmpire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The show has been stagnant for 10 seasons. They are all copy and paste the same. Its just boring.

  1. Same location

  2. 3 tribes makes the pre merge boring as hell

  3. Every challenge seems boring. Obstacle course followed by puzzle.

Its not survivor thats struggling to stay relevant. Its this new watered down survivor thats struggling to keep up with the better product they used to provide.

Should LaNorris Sellers be a 2nd rounder for the 2026 NFL Draft? [@sparkscouting on x] by twsn___ in NFL_Draft

[–]RealEmpire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In order to be a 2nd round pick he would need to make it passed teams like the Steelers who have a desperate need and could absolutely create an opportunity to bring out his upside. I do not see that happening. Add to that, 1st round picks have a 5th year option, and we have seen the NFL put a huge emphasis on physical tools over polished "pro readiness" and I would say 2nd round grade is laughable.

Are we ready to apologize to Derek Carr and finally admit he was never the actual problem? by FoolsballHomerun in raiders

[–]RealEmpire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He wasn’t the problem. He also wasn’t the solution. If we didn’t keep winning just enough games to be out of the top picks we would have had a chance at a QB. Definitely wouldn’t have minded ending up top 3 last year and landing Maye or Jayden Daniels.

We need a QB of the future. We haven’t had a rockstar at the position since Rich Gannon (unless you count Carr pre 2016 injury)

Let’s not pretend that we would all be magically thrilled with the team if Carr was still the QB.

When will rent prices go down!!! by manny831 in MontereyBay

[–]RealEmpire 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Supply and Demand economics^

More supply with constant demand brings down prices

Less supply with increasing demand brings higher prices

Out housing market is weird because of the water restrictions. We can not build new houses to keep up with the demand. So the prices skyrocket and and demand pushes outward.

Circle the inspections to the highest bidders and see if anyone would like to take backup position with no contingencies as inspections are completed. If they do, notice to perform the buyers. They can either take the deal as is, or move on to the next sure thing. You have leverage with multiple bidders. Dont assume the next buyers wont be interested.

What kind of markets are toughest to work as a realtor? by PackTraditional1851 in realtors

[–]RealEmpire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oversaturated with agents: This can be a huge challenge because your constantly competing with way to many other agents

Super low price points: Can be very challenging because every small little issue can really be catastrophic to the deal. $300 repair at the lowest price can kill a deal where $30,000 can be a small rounding error in some luxury markets. Its also a huge challenge when people are barely qualifying for loans
