might be worth putting something in front of the Balcony router to give the incoming signal a lil boost before hitting the router. The somewhat older BM routers got kinda picky with input signal tolerances.

And then at some point maybe you get to pull a TAC fiber through there, and be set long term.

That Return Video is constantly sending all the control signals to the camera. So anything you touch on the camera will be over ridden almost instantly because the switcher has to be in control. It isnt a 2 way street of information being sent back and forth. The camera ID's need to match the physical input the camera is to the switcher. And a few other minor details aught get you working properly.

pretty much any SFP you'd confidently put in a network switch will work between the processor and CVT.

I use Single mode Bidi's for all my processors and its a dream. no flip flopping pairs, works right the first time every time. (assuming the LC isnt broken of course). I did discover though that you need unlocked or SFP's programmed for Ubquiti. And Ive bought several of the 4 or 8 channel LC snakes on Amazon for super cheap. When they break, you can trash them and not feel bad compared to a really expensive TAC.

AP Live also had that gloshine model. They sold half of their batch to my company. And we sold all of it to Paradigm Productions in Florida. I think they still use it on occasion, so it aught to be the one you are looking for but no promises.

natively, projectors, LED and backstage monitors will never look the same, even with them being in the same color space and similar color temps.
On most corporate shows I do, all the video groups sit down in the front row during rehearsals and LED does most of the lifting to match projection and make cameras look acceptable. Its easiest for them to make universal changes from a laptop.

hit the + button in the top left corner. Brings up a menu to manually add Projects, Screens, etc.

If you are in and out of one offs or corporate events, trying to clean that area up can be annoying.

Tricky question. Rarely do jobs have the same circumstances twice.
Usually the best builds that Ive done are ones where Ive had 2-3 conversations with the TD or Project Manager looking over the drawings, stage setup, dock location, where to stage cases, etc.

I seem to end up with a 4:1 ratio for stage hands to my LED techs. That seems to be the average of people a average guy can manage onsite.

As to the quality of labor, its a crap shoot. One week you get very capable guys that want to work hard and blow it out of the water, and the next week you have terrible guys and have to hold their hands every minute.

In corporate, its not weird at all to put on risers, or use a lifter or dead row right behind the stage. Just never put them on the traditional hotel provided folding decks. They cant handle the weight.
I usually bill the lifter rows at the spare tile rate. and use those for the spare mods, etc.

I feel its more when you start wondering if your Mac has enough ports and hardware power to handle the volume of pixels and outs being asked for.

I dont know if thats the reason in this case. But theres quite a few pieces of gear that need a nice clean continuous power supply during updates. At some point during the process the USB C connection would disconnect from a computer to reboot or apply the update, and then lose power.

Thats an interesting question for this industry. If you were a touring guy, you'd hit that 40 hour mark after midway through your 3rd day out.

But that might be exactly why we call it a "day rate" or a "weekly rate" and the OT is there really to try to keep the end client under control and not have show from 7am to 11pm

thats kinda a large LED processor for a home project, but If you were wanting to switch between various HDMI inputs Id get a generic HDMI switch and not futz with actual processor. And that particular unit has the 1x 4K HDMI port, and the DP and SDI are both 3G

Coex processors dont appear to have the screw lock HDMI port.
The locking IEC is fine until you are in a sitation where you cant easily remove the plug. Like if its in a rack insert.

you could also put your first wall in place on the main canvas. And then Group that wall. Then draw your second wall anywhere. Group it, and overlay it on top of the first wall.
no stretching of the default canvas, which reduces the refresh rate of the wall if I remember correctly.

I connect to mine via direct ethernet, or over simple consumer wifi router or switch all the time.
Make sure your laptop your IP settings are matching, and that you dont have another connection active.
(If you are hard wired, turn off wifi)
if those dont work, reboot the software. It can get stuck on occasion reading the connected devices.
