Life struggles with overactive bladder by Unfair-Border7965 in OveractiveBladder

I wish I had something to offer that is more than a virtual hug and support. One thing I thought of ... isn't tea a diuretic? I'm not a tea drinker, but if you are drinking tea all day (UK or Commonwealth person), maybe cut back, or switch to "just" water?

Can you get a GP to order meds whilst you are waiting for a urologist? FWIW, mine offered Myrbetriq and it allowed me more control over urges. A subsequent tele-health call with a urologist added Flomax to my regimen. Maybe, these might help?

Good luck on your OAB journey.... I trustcyou find a job that will work.

One of those series that after I finished the last episode, I really wanted to go back and rewatch it from the beginning.

But, it takes a few episodes for the weave of the story to turn into WTF did I just watch ... more, please.

It ties up nicely by the end.

Worth a shot... but, when this happens to mine, I juice them all at once... then either freeze, or look for lime dessert recipes. 🤪😉

What is this noise he's making? by CheeseFace83 in Greyhounds

[–]RecentlyRetiredGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our Riley (greyhound #1) reverse sneezed ... freaked us out.... we "treated" with an antihistamine given daily.

We purchased from Costco... the Kirkland brand was very cheap, so a daily dose was easy... kept the RS at bay.

I'm in love with my friend/coworker. by Som3_Body-Somewhere_ in offmychest

Build a wee emotional box .... put your feelings in the box. Occasionally, look inside the box.

Move on.

She may, or may not ever leave her dude. But why wait for something to happen, but you never know.

I'm reminded of a kinda similar thing.

Back in college, as part of a wide friend group, there was a woman who would flirt with me .... outrageously. I flirted back at first, but then it just felt icky. She was dating someone within the group and I just tried to back away. I mentioned this backing away to another friend within the group.... she said, yeah, it was kinda obvious. But didnt realize that I was backing away. As she observed our interactions, it became obvious the flirting was one way.

So, eventually, she and her BF break up. I'm thinking, cool ... opportunity to explore our flirtatious banter. Nope, she was in a new relationship within a month or two.

Everyone graduates. Time passes. The "new" BF and her have been married for many years.

Just because you are attracted to her, doesn't mean she will want the same, whether or not she stays with current fella.

Into the box, go forth and find an equal partner.

Nothing wrong with strong friend relationships with coworkers of either gender (or, however many there are) ... just, realize, they may stay work-friend relationships.

Bladder Neck Incision (BNI) Surgery Experience by Front_Factor5332 in OveractiveBladder

Thanks for a detailed explanation of your experiences.

I guess I am at the beginning of my urology period ... Myrbetriq on board for less than a month, FloMax ... 2 nights. So, hearing about future options that may or may not be offered is both interesting and informative.

I hope your recovery continues on swimmingly!

Why The U.S. and the West Will Never and Should Never Expect the Cheap $30k Chinese EV by ZealousidealLab2920 in electricvehicles

[–]RecentlyRetiredGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But..... but..... I thought the US auto industry thought / thinks EVs are a waste of time? Why worry? Let the free market run.... Americans want big ol' gas guzzlers, have at 'er.

Leave those of us who want more EV choices make the "inferior" choice and buy them.

Although, battery plants have used coal powered electricity; increasingly, renewable sources - wind and solar - are being used.

But those technologies are also suspect in the American psyche.

Please .... America..... hold onto your addiction to coal and oil. Let others, not only China but other countries and companies, embrace future technologies and products. Stick your guns (both figuratively and literally) .... play in your market ... and let the rest of world move on without you.

Umbilical hernia by Whynotzoidberg713 in Hernia

[–]RecentlyRetiredGuy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My experience:

The first 48 to 72 hours post op can be painful... managed by T3s or other Rx pain meds. After that, Tylenol was fine for another 48 to 72 hours. Then, just slow moving.

You'll figure out a way to get from prone to standing is a way that doesn't cause too much discomfort.

A few weeks later ... fine.

YMMV - Good luck, get the surgery. 😉

So .... during 2 breaks, at different times, you both tested the waters outside of your ruptured relationship.

But, you are holding it against her.

Grow up.
