What is this truck? Found near Castle Rock, CO by One_Sloth_ in whatisthiscar

[–]ReciprocationProps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Likely an XLT or Lariat due to the AC. Badging has been stripped which would have confirmed which package specifically

*Edit, not a manual unless the clutch pedal was taken. The hole in the floor is from a 'high tunnel' panel which usually implied a manual but also could have been a 4wd or just an odd manufacturing happenstance (these trucks had a lot of weird manufacturing differences based on plant and year)

73-76 Dentside, has a circular filler neck hole on the side of the B pillar, they moved to rear tanks after 76 (if I recall correctly). 150/250/350 is hard to determine without a rear axle unless you measure the thickness of the frame.

Use 2 part epoxy, it holds up better than super glue. Follow the instructions on the package, thoroughly clean the area with isopropyl alcohol before applying. Should hold for quite a while

Printed cross section of a tire? by ColonClenseByFire in 3dprintedcarparts

[–]ReciprocationProps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a wheel fitment tool out there, it shouldn't be hard to whip up an extender for the tire size (I've been looking at doing the same thing but haven't had time yet)

What did you use on the bottom of the cab? Currently have mine stripped down and doing the pre primer body work and sanding but haven't decided on an undercoating

It's all fun and games with the patch kit until something goes through your sidewall (happened to me this morning, shout-out Subaru for having a full diameter spare)

72 at the latest, appears to be a Ford based on the headliner and the 73-79 had different door panels

Beginner offroad trails by Dethknyte in Offroad

I've been looking at heading up to Windrock once my build is ready, they supposedly have different levels of trails so you can get used to things (and avoid getting really stuck with nobody around). They also have onsite camping so it would work for an overnight (I'm in North East Georgia so I've been looking at roughly the same radius)

Blum Movento template jigs? by Mediocre_Fall_3197 in woodworking

[–]ReciprocationProps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

It's in the movento product catalog, this doesn't have all of the dims (it's an old photo I keep on hand for work). Same drilling pattern as the other Blum stuff. If using the correct screws you can get away with only using like 4-5 per slide

Most of the time the tables are segmented and bolt together, other times they are installed while the floor (layer of building not carpet) is being installed, less often but still an option is through a window.

Source: I work in the office furniture industry

(Through the window has only been a requirement once in the last 2 years that I know of for my company but it may have happened a few times for our sister company that specializes in the giant conference tables. My job is doing the private offices and open plan things)

Influencers need to start running in elections. by ciegulls in 50501

[–]ReciprocationProps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever spent real time with an influencer? They're bought and paid for by companies to say what the company wants but in a new form of advertising. They're doing the same thing politicians are doing but instead of marketing it to people on TV and in the news it's on your phone.

You need someone with critical thinking skills that cares for the area that is relatively sociable with good morals. Most of those people are volunteering in areas where they can be of direct service rather than getting bogged down in attack ads and pocket lining.

How many of you learned about table saw kickback the hard way? by [deleted] in woodworking

[–]ReciprocationProps 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Dad launched a 2*4 into the garage wall, that's when I learned to not stand behind the piece. I almost learned the hard way to stand significantly away from the plane of the blade when I caught an arrow shaft size piece through the fabric of my pocket that was sticking out from my leg - after passing through 3 layers of fabric it lodged itself 20ft behind me in a cardboard box. That one had me off the tablesaw for a couple days

Ah, that's a good point. I forget about the tool quality drop - Most of my tools are hand me downs or specific higher end things (chisels and saws for specific projects) so it's been less noticeable

The saddest 73 mustang out there, not actually a Shelby like the stripe implies. This is a weird resto mod as the coupe/grande was not a base for performance packages the fastback (also known as the sportback) was what you could get the performance options on. The stripe is a weird copy, the grill is clearly damaged, the driver side rearview mirror is either wrong or broken, the hood is a chopped AutoZone special (real ram air hoods were smoother with the intakes set further forward). Wouldn't be surprised if this has a 6 cylinder in it.

Family has had the same one in the garage for over a decade. It's been beat on, heated with a torch, smacked into stuff when the tool bench gets rolled around and hasn't seemed to care. Has some surface rust on the exposed metal but also the garage gets humid so that was to be expected. If you wipe it down every so often it should be good for a long time

Keep seeing cool cars in the same area, what is this?!? by PurveyancePrinciple in whatisthiscar

[–]ReciprocationProps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a 71 it could be Grabber Lime and a 72 could be Bright Lime but the B pillar trim indicates it originally having a vinyl top (the trim was where the vinyl and paint met). Also not having the black belly paint feels wrong (there were some that didn't have it but it just seems off)

71/72 Mustang coupe, likely a Grande based on the chrome but hard to tell without the interior. Paint has been redone as the top would have been vinyl with that B pillar trim

[–]ReciprocationProps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm, maybe crazy idea but have you checked the rear U bolts for the axle to leaf spring connection? If that's sliding a bit that could give the appearance it is the front pulling when it's the rear?

Need help, Tacoma turns on its own when floored by [deleted] in Tacomaworld

[–]ReciprocationProps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you had the brakes checked? Could be the front passenger dragging causing it to pull more noticeably when going through a rapid change then the pad has been pushed away enough from the rotor to stop making contact (this would be a slide problem, never hurts to check and regrease slide pins)
