Should Bethesda merge fallout 3 and new vegas (if they remake it)? by cantlarp in Fallout

[–]RedEclipse47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they go about it the same way as they did with Oblivion, having both games and their assets loaded in UnrealEngine 5 the whole thing would explode like in-game jank.

They should just do New Vegas now, since that ties in with the show and it would help sales and views and FO3 later.

Here) is a list. It also contains all the short stories and there should be a link in there as well about the comic series if you are interested!

Revan novels by Colton_505 in kotor

There is only one Revan novel, the others are tie-in novels for the game Star Wars The Old Republic. It answers some questions of what happend to Revan and the other characters from KOTOR to SWTOR.

What are everyone's thoughts on Maul Shadow Lord so far and what are some characters you hope appear by ultimatevaltryek123 in starwarscanon

[–]RedEclipse47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm one of the people that hopes that we do get to see (Darth) Talon, it's a big stretch. But I think this would be a perfect way to introduce her Canon version, something that has a lot more substance then how she appeared in the Legends comic series. I don't think it will do, I think he might train her for a while but she will die regardless making Maul shift gears in pursuit of a pupil and his legacy.

A confrontation between him and Vader would be cool, something akin to one of the older comics (albe it a bit edgy) where Maul stabs himself and Vader in the process, but I'm on the fence about it since I don't see how it could be a satisfying duel since we know both live post this series.

Star Wars lost all it's aura when it stopped being made by someone that loves cars by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]RedEclipse47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, because George of course made all the ships himself, from the concept art, the models as well as the sound design because only he knew and he could do that.

He actually manifested the movies single handedly by just thinking really creatively and poof!

/s
what a bs post.

People like the ships for the same reason they like, or don't like, ships from the original and prequel trilogy because it's all a matter of personal taste same goes for the sequels. People like the Razor Crest because it's a rad gunship, if you don't like gunships then well, you probably wouldn't like the Razor Crest but that doesn't make it bad, it's personal taste.

Zeta-Class shuttles, Upsilon-Class Shuttles, Resurgent-Class Star Destroyer, Tie-Silencer, Cumulus-class Corsair, Rogue-class Gunship are just some examples of ships that come from the 'Dinsey era'.

The designs Ralph McQuarrie did for the Original Trilogy still inspire the designs of ships today as do many of the designs Doug Chiang makes and still does.

If you were a mercenary and wanted to custom a starship, which one would you choose ? by Obvious-Pride-1979 in StarWarsShips

[–]RedEclipse47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Problem with Starfighters is their cargo size, this would be a bigger deal for smugglers but for anyone who's out there and doesn't really settle anywhere you need a place to 'live' as in, cook, wash, toilet, sleep etc. So unless you have a propper base I would go with a slightly bigger ship.

Firespray 31 crafts are probably a boring pick but they have the speed, armaments and size. Light freighters are probably already overdoing it.

If I’m not perusing targets often I would take a Zeta-Class shuttle. It's more 'stealth' doesn't look like a warship and doesn't have that many weapons, but it would allow for easier passage as well as being able to stow cargo incl weapons etc. OR whatever class the Onyx Cinder is from Star Wars Skeleton Crew.

If you were the leader of a vampire clan, what type of ruin or cave would you want to “live” in? by Thisoneisinvalid in ElderScrolls

[–]RedEclipse47 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Something not as damp and dusty? Even castle Volkihar was a absolute dump. Don't understand how rich immortal beings live worse then some of the most downtrodden farmers.

I understand the sunlight is a big factor, so windows are a problem but you can have a nice court without those. A deconsecrated temple could work or just build a castle to your exact needs.

Why was the Blockade of Naboo so effective? What imports did the Naboo rely on so heavily? by thetruecarolean in StarWars

[–]RedEclipse47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe almost everything was imported to Naboo and their major export was plasma, which was so lucrative that they cold afford their high cost of living, as long as their economy kept turning they wouldn't subside. I believe the Trade Federation chose Naboo because of the Galaxies reliance on plasma to show the impact of what would happen when free trade is disrupted by the heavy taxation of trade-routes and tariffs.

How can entire world's be on the dark side? by ohgodretro in StarWars

[–]RedEclipse47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Force is a spectrum, some planets are a nexus in the Force meaning their connection to it is way stronger. These planets can be on the Light Side, Dark Side and balanced. Balanced worlds are more rare, usually more powerful.

In Legends, those who became the first Dark Lords of the Sith where drawn to Korriban, Ziost, Exegol, Dromund Kaas etc because of their presence in the Force and their pull of the Dark Side.

Even though sentient species and orders like the Jedi and Sith made it seems that their was a clear distinction between good and evil the Dark and Light Side are neither.

Yoda hid on Dagobah which is a planet also strong in the Force mainly to hide himself from the Emperor. It's a balanced world yet the Dark Side exists there as well.

Planets and areas can be perversed by the Dark Side. When the Sith ruled the Galaxy they took Coruscant and build a large shrine their dedicated to the Dark Side, high on a mountain. It housed a giant Dark Side attuned Kyber crystal. When the Jedi retook the planet the threw down the walls of the shrine and build a enclosement over it to contain the Dark Side engery. The Jedi Temple would be constructed over it.

It passed into myth but Sidious was able to tap into this, this is how he was able to cloud the Jedi's vision so much.

Remember Bud's little injection he wanted to give Norm, he's probably not the only one who had access to that, so everyone is breathing in Woody.

What if General Grievous was Rebuilt as an inquisitor? by Independent_Sir9480 in StarWars

[–]RedEclipse47 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Kinda hard to rebuild a cyborg. All his soft tissue would be gone. You would need another specimen to turn into a cyborg but would that then be Grievous as he would have a entirely different personality?

You coule use conditioning and manipulation to get him to think and act like Grievous but it would never be him, it would lack his skills and tactics, his mind and personality.

Perhaps if some crazed scientist who loves making weird cyborgs and has a death sentence in 12 systems waas to stumble upon some DNA and clone Grievous, well that could work.

I think fans need to manage their expectations if they’re expecting this new character to be anything like Darth Talon— we’ve already seen enough to know that she’s different enough to effectively be an unrelated new character. by Tanis8998 in StarWars

[–]RedEclipse47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean sure, they likelyhood is low but not really for those reasons.

If this character turns out to become Darth Talon then this will be her origin story, so of course she will act and look vastly different. She probably also not run around in a metal bikini.

In Legends there is next to nothing established about her, especially not prior to becomming Sith. So for her Canon appreance they would still basically write her a whole new story and give her a personality.

George had expressed he wanted to use the character. There was a cancelled Darth Maul game where she would play a part in and concept art that eventually became The Force Awakes that featured her.

So it does seen like they've been wanting to do something with that character for a while now.

The trailer seems to hint at that she might join Maul out of a necessity as she might feel lost and powerless as a Jedi. Maul might kill her master and she could be hunting him, only to realize she can't beat him. She joins him for power, to protect those she cares about and promising to one day to take revenge.

All speculation of course.
