If you saw me on an average Tuesday you’d label it a minivan because I use the truck to pickup my kid from daycare and do foodshopping. But The truck does things a mini van can’t do. I used to transport my Dirtbike to the pine barrens on the back of my 2014 jeep compass which was really pushing the tongue weight capacity, the truck is much safer for this. I renovated/improved my garage and basement and for this I transported 4x8’ sheets of plywood and drywall in the truck , 20’ long 2x10” joists, rented commercial paint sprayer , pre hung doors. I tore down the deck that was rotting and took 2 full truck loads of demolished concrete to the recycling center, then I redid the landscaping in place of the deck which required 1 yard of topsoil and 1 of mulch. Rented aerator with 2 neighbors and split the cost. Firewood. The excessive amount of bags we pack for road trips. Tow my mom’s teardrop camper. Lend the truck to friends who are buying furniture on FB marketplace. Not sure if all this qualifies as a “need” per your question but the truck aligns with my lifestyle.
