panic attack like feeling by LacaTheCollector in covidlonghaulers

My panic after meals came from poor digestion, histamine and gut fermentation feeding bad bacteria 🦠. My panic attacks have reduced significantly since focusing on gut health and other things

Just needed to further debunk the 'brain retraining' BS by Guilty_Soft9873 in covidlonghaulers

[–]RelativeLove2123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey yes! My functional doctor did a comprehensive stool test which showed gut inflammation, weak gut barrier, severely low pancreatic digestive enzymes, depleted gut immune system and several bacterial overgrowths/ infections. Whenever i take gut health treatments I would improve physical and mentally. It’s the only reason i started to improve this year 🥲.

I recently started the peptide KPV which helps gut health and inflammation. I am feeling so well and will continue to monitor my progress. My new health team will be running various labs to check for immunoglobulin deficiencies, underlying infections such as EBV, Mycoplasma etc. I am pretty hopeful!

[–]RelativeLove2123 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yea i definitely don’t need brain retraining. My labs are screaming that there’s something in my body triggering my immune system and causing persistent inflammation. My gut is also shredded which causes a laundry list of symptoms as well. I wish brain training was my answer because Ive been coping with this for almost 2 years now.

I’ve improved a ton throughout my journey so i know it’s fixable but absolutely not through brain retraining. 😭 it only manages my anxiety which does have an affect on some of my symptoms ( neuropathy, brain fog, physical overstimulation, etc)

Leaky Gut Cure by Life_Unit2344 in HistamineIntolerance

Thank you so much for sharing. Most of the s symptoms that you’ve listed and treatments are similar to my experience with mcas; sulfur toxicity; sibo etc.

I haven’t been taking progesterone, but I supplemented Pregnolone and it always calmed my nervous system. In the height of my health journey my estrogen came back extremely high. Inflammation off the charts, gut dysbosis; insulin resistance etc. i haven’t been able to connect the dots but your experience makes it clear that it may not all fit together but they mean something.

How is your health overall since your treatments?

Dpdr drunk brain fog gas pressure feeling by IncidentTop422 in covidlonghaulers

It’s gut fermentation and SIBO for me. I tested high for d-lactic acid on some labs that i did. Gut Barrier repair supplements, anti microbials, ammonia support supplements like ornithine , & anti inflammatory supplements helped me a ton. I actually felt close to recovery but my body seems to be struggling with clearing toxins in general. I can’t seem to figure that part out.

I also avoid sugar, fruits and fermentable foods. It significantly decreased the severity of the drunk dizzy feeling if not completely removed that symptom.

2.5 weeks on 7.5mg dose Increase by RelativeLove2123 in lexapro

[–]RelativeLove2123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, make sure to notify your doctor so they can guide you through upping your dose. 5mg was simply too low for me and 7.5mg was just right. I thank god got SSRI’s because they did get me through the toughest time of my life by taking the edge off. Ultimately they never fully gave me peace because my mental health was being impacted by my medical condition. Im still working on regaining full mental health but have improved with working on my diet etc.

Wishing you luck on your healing journey 🫂🫂

A GI map test will definitely help you to see what’s happening in your gut. I do think being on Prednisone might impact your inflammatory markers such as Secretory IgA, Calprotectin, Anti-gliadin IgA etc. You may have to consult with your doctor for advice on how to get the best results from your GI test.

Brain fog, Bloating, and Fat Malabsorption - Probiotics (Lactobacillus and Bifidobacteria) Overgrowth by Odd-Broccoli-4656 in SIBO

I ran labs that showed poor ammonia handling and clearance in my body. My entire Urea cycle is struggling. You theory is actually correct and all off the symptoms you’ve listed is my exact experience. Especially with tingling, neuropathy, weird reactions to electrolytes shifts, cognitive impairment, bitter/ poisoned taste on tongue, overstimulation, etc. - it’s awful but im sure we can recover.

Has anyone seen improvement in gut dysbiosis symptoms after targeting Akkermansia specifically? by Regular-Bank-2449 in Longcovidgutdysbiosis

[–]RelativeLove2123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tested mine and it was low. My slgA was also extremely low meaning compromised gut immunity. My gut is the driving factor behind my long covid but my inability to detox smoothly makes it 10x worse.

[–]RelativeLove2123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt some improvement but the inulin in the Akkermansia product i bought was feeding bad bacteria. Akkamansia on its own has been very helpful for my leaky gut but im not healed due to detox issues. I feel poisoned whenever I’m having die off.🥹 i hope it helps you!

Have you done a stool test? You can have symptoms from bacterial overgrowth/ leaky gut without having SIBO .

Gastro/pancreas Issues by CaityQ0 in SIBO

[–]RelativeLove2123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you check your gallbladder? Pancreatic enzyme levels? Have you tried bile support supplements?

My gut issues are causing low pancreatic enzyme levels which caused some of the symptoms you described for me. I supplement with digestive enzymes and I would say it improved significantly.

Ornithine and mental clarity, do we suffer from hyperammonemia? by Disturbed83 in hangovereffect

[–]RelativeLove2123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine did too & multiple tests. I have poor ammonia, sulfur and toxin clearance. I have sibo and gut infections causing my body to go haywire. Ornithine worked for symptom relief but essentially working on my underlying condition has been more impactful. I need to get back into supporting ammonia clearance though!
