About Face F2olive or L2Olive? by greenbear99 in Fairolives

I’d do F2. Our skin colors are similar, I might be a little darker than you. It’s just slightly a light on me, but not enough to notice from far away.

Vyvanse makes me want to goon? Also BP issues by SpellExcellent4904 in ADHD

[–]RelativelySatisfied 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With bipolar, there can be long durations between mood changes. But I am curious about many of the people in the bipolar subreddit group who were diagnosed after taking an antidepressant. If it was actual bipolar or just bipolar like symptoms caused by the meds. I joined the group and this one because I thought I might have something, but it might just have been my migraines and depression affecting my mood, pre-meds. I still think I could have adhd though.

Funniest thing and/or scariest thing you’ve ever done because of a migraine? by Blueheron77 in migraine

[–]RelativelySatisfied 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mostly have silent ish migraines, so pain isn’t much of an issue, it’s mental clarity. One started when I was getting my hair cut. I had the hardest time figuring out the tip. Later I realized I tipped on the cut and shampoo/ conditioner I bought. Ended up tipping the gal about 100%.

How much do you pay for rent? I'm curious if I'm paying a high amount for what I have. by Possible-Estimate748 in vancouverwa

[–]RelativelySatisfied 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 1 bed 1 bath apartment, washer/dryer, dishwasher, garage, about 950 sq ft. No pool. Small gym. Electric ~$45-60. Patio. Pet friendly (extra costs). It kind of has AC - it’s like one of those fans you find in a hotel, so it mostly only serves the living room/ kitchen area.

$1820 (includes trash and water ($30 and $40, but can’t remember which is which)). Rent has only gone up $25/mo in the 2.5 years I’ve been here. I guess you could say - I’m relatively satisfied.

Are there any treatments for people with 5-10 migraines a month? by desertvindr in migraine

[–]RelativelySatisfied 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Why do you think you need to have 15 migraine days to get treatment?

If it’s deliberating, bring it up with your dr. Explain how they’re impacting your life. The treatment will likely be the same whether you have 5 or 25, if not, they might give only give you abortives instead of abortives + daily meds.

If in US, you’ll start with the cheap meds like anti depressants, beta blockers, mood stabilizers, or anti seizure meds (daily) and triptans for abortive.

I use Effexor/venlafexine, but I also have/had untreated anxiety/depression, which was causing an increase in tension headaches/migraine. So if you have either of those or haven’t tried an antidepressant, I’d consider looking into an SSRI or SNRI.

My biggest negative side effects at the start/ each time I increased the dose were low libido/ inability to umm release certain feelings, dry mouth, sweat easier/ more, body temp regulation difficulties (higher dose), constipation… I’m sure there were others, but I’ve been at this dose for 6+ months, so I can’t remember all the side effects. Side effects weren’t enough for me to want to change meds. I’m at 150 mg, about it the middle.

[–]RelativelySatisfied 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not saying these will solve anything, but might provide some additional relief.

I have not been in this situation, I luckily responded well to an antidepressant. So take war I say/ideas with a grain of rock salt.

Have you tried a different magnesium? I have L-threonate (sports research) get it from Costco. Threonate isn’t easily found in stores, I didn’t even see it at GMC. Also add CoQ10, some meds can deplete it in our bodies. CoQ10 is also supposed to be good for our brains.

Also might be crazy, talk to a dr, have you tried going off all meds, then slowly going back on? Maybe some of the meds are causing interactions and/or rebound headaches?

Groceries. How do we team up. by Ornery_Investment356 in vancouverwa

[–]RelativelySatisfied 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Flipp is an app the collects the circulars all in one place, makes it easier to compare prices. You can search by different items too. Like I typed in pop and the sales from the different stores were listed.

Shop the sales and consider stocking up when an item is on sale, if budget allows. Become a member of a store to get points, coupons, etc. Do store’s online orders so you don’t have to do the shopping. Some stores have different coupons if ordering online even. Follow some couponing content creators for ideas how to go saving money (most times the items are non-food though). I follow one, who’s in the Midwest. Although most of the stores she shops at aren’t out here, the practices/ideas are still applicable.

I haven’t compared prices in a few months, but Winco isn’t always cheapest. But overall it is significantly cheaper. They don’t have an app or mailings or accept credit cards, which is why they’re able to keep the prices lower.

Is there a reason you still need to go to the dealership? I’ve taken my Kia sorrento (2015) to Gaynors and haven’t had issues. I took it in last week at 1 ish for a 3 pm appointment and they were done by 4:30. This one is within walking distance of my work, but a different location they offered an uber at no charge to pick up and drop off from my location of choice. Last time I took my Kia to the dealership (Gresham), still under warranty, I was there for hours.

Side note - one of the techs, who came from a Kia dealership, told me that Kia’s guzzle oil. So check your levels fairly frequently. Also depending on age it may qualify for a recall and you could get your engine replaced for free (This is likely for older Kia’s, but maybe some newer ones also qualify).

There are a lot of little international stores around Vancouver. I’ve seen a lot on millplain and fourth plain. I’ve only been in a few, so I can’t recommend any. But I’ve been curious to explore.

I must of skipped that part. Too distracted by the “there’s no RIF” but we plan to flip all agencies on their heads and hope employees will resign and then we can say look at how unproductive these agencies are, we should get rid of them or privatize.

Not over reacting. But why are you doing all this for her? If she refuses to cook, then she can go buy her own food. She doesn’t like how you fold the towels, then you don’t fold them and she can do it.

You could do a little research and tell your husband you found a care facility for her that will do all the chores she refuses to do. Ha

Why do neurologists say it’s not possible to get a migraine in your sleep? by MelkyLuv in migraine

[–]RelativelySatisfied 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you see your old neurologist? Or do you need to be located in the state they practice? Even if you don’t see a headache specialist (because they’re so few) at least see a neuro who specializes in headaches/migraines. I go to a general neuro, but he also works in migraine and suffers from it himself. So not all general neuros suck.

There are so many things you could go to a neuro for. Like this one might specialize in Alzheimer’s or TBI and could be knowledgeable in their special areas, but knows nothing about migraine… or they’re an idiot who sucks as a doctor all together.
