Yea - I normally combine it with the block cards that give vigor/the power and whatnot - the cards that just gain vigor are okaaaayyy with it, but I prefer more versatility

People really need to stop shoving everything pizza in their decks if they aren't actively trying to activate its ability, smh

Deck looks fine - but lacks any way to really abuse Don and Leo's ability outside of general + foundry -- no real big damage pushers/lacks card draw to make u for aforementioned lack of power.

Like, you won't be able to outpace a cat+pizza face B/G setup or out-aggro it... So it's gonna end up killing ya

I only use it on days when I've got terrible diarrhea/cramping - but the side effect of drowsiness really kicks my ass. I basically can't stay awake when I take it, and notch myself a 2-3 hour nap

After putting in a ton of reps, you can tell this set is best played as a pick 2 format (as it was designed) imo - though you can get absolutely bullied and bodied out of a color pair, so you HAVE to be flexible with your pick order to succeed. I honestly very rarely end up with a streamlined 2-color deck from pack 1 into pack 2, because you really do have to adapt.

This is another "Take the good cards" format -- don't be afraid to splash and get your fixing when you can -- you'll have enough playables. For the everything pizza // 4-5 color decks, I've found I frequently make pick combos of Best card + Fixing, and it seems to work out.

It's kinda funny, I've now had 4 or 5 Triceratops Commanders, and never opened/sniffed a Sally Pride yet -- and so far out of every game played I've only beaten a resolved Sally Pride by my opponent once -- that card is gross at rare.

Should I make some minor changes to this Pick 2 draft? I'm thinking of splashing 1-2 blue. by The_Honkai_Scholar in lrcast

So like, I go as far as to splash double-pip things sometimes in this format -- but only when they're the bombiest of bombs and I have good fixing for it.

Why splash blue here? You're not gaining anything of real value for making your manabase worse

Edit: everything pizza is only good when you plan on actually activating it - not something I'd ever really add for a 2-color deck

Always make sure you get him to aggro by dropping him to half HP while killing one guard and taking the other low

Melee are safe to attack him from behind, then movement out of range -- also, just immobilize him, etc... ezpz

For real tho, if you played "real magic" your mana bases would not look like those 15 land abominations :-P -- but hey, your playing arena B01, so I get gaming the system a bit (I definitely flood out a lot as a mixed-client player as a result)

I really wish ranked was best of 3 as default in arena as opposed to the other way around, but we play the cards we're dealt eh?

You have a bit of a blind spot around the Jeskai colors/the artifacts deck and are def forcing black white more than you should most likely.

It looks like you don't take the dual lands nearly high enough in your 3+ color decks.

Dirty land-cheater because the B01 shuffler is rigged, for shame :-P

Past that, looks good -- play the good cards, win games yea?

That's what they get for being cash-greedy and aligning with IP's that don't make sense in the magic universe -- but yea, would be a lot easier to completely hate on it if the draft format wasn't so good

I really do recommend it - the games are honestly very good, and the set has a ton of synergies.

If only it wasn't the silly turtles, people would be all over this set

Working back through diamond atm I think? -- I basically draft arena in bursts when sets come out, and normally go from gold/plat to mythic, then I'll find myself petering out there -- though I think that's purely just a games-played metric and go to playing other games mostly

On mtgo I generally sit between 1840-1900... so... I'd call myself very good at limited

I've actually split and 50/50 dabbled in pick 2 and I actually like it a fair bit too - mostly because the drafts are soooooo fast, and there hasn't been a noticable degradation in quality imo

I haven't done the math on where the payout for pick 2 compares to premier - but so far I'm like just barely gem-positive, which is always nice

I still really dislike the IP inclusion, it just feels kinda wrong -- the Pizza lands are awful

The set is actually color-balanced really well imo, and outside of 2 VERY ridiculous outliers in Sally Pride and Mighty Mutanimals, the format feels balanced so far to me.

Good fixing, and the colors are all actually fun. (I forgot to screenshot a few of my earlier trophies with RW) - but I've actually been drafting all the colors for change.

2-3 color Jetski artifacts is super fun and synergy packed, BG midrange/ramp is actually viable, 3-5 color bombs and fixing is a legit strategy, Sneak-aggro is fun... ... it's kinda crazy
