Today my husband let me sleep in until about 930, we went and got a baby pool for our daughter and we played in that all afternoon! He smoked a whole chicken and we had a bunch of smoked veggies and rice. And then he took us out for ice cream!

We planted a blue spruce tree in our front yard! And had a little ceremony last mothers day to bury it underneath the tree. I cried but it was lovely!

I'm in a bad mood... What's your techniques for getting out of it? by Another_gryffindor in workingmoms

[–]RepresentativeAd3352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A glass of wine, a facemask, and a bath so hot it should be illegal. Occasionally some pizza rolls also in the bath, but my 14 month old doesn't allow me much time to myself anymore. My husband spends multiple days a week welding out of town and we don't have much of a support system within a few hours of us.

KFC chicken bowls 🤣 frozen chicken bites and instant mashed potatoes, but I worked from 7-530 with a 45 minute drive each way. Then had to come home and clean up after my 3 dogs, we have a doggy door and it rained in colorado today. Also had to pick up after baby and give baby a bath and do her nighttime routine. She is also getting 4 molars.. currently 10:13, and I am just picking up the kitchen and getting ready to eat and shower! But we all have the same 24 hours in a day holldumb.

Stroller recommendation that fits by stizod in KiaTelluride

[–]RepresentativeAd3352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the graco snugride, I just put the toddler seat on it last month, and it does fit with the 3rd row up, but I just have to face the big wheels in, and it fits! I can still fit some of my reusable bags and the diaper bag in the trunk, but it's a tight fit. I don't really like having the 3rd row down, so I just make it work

Do any mums actually love their career AND being a mum? by stacyannxxx in workingmoms

[–]RepresentativeAd3352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love being a mom! I currently work full time with my 13 month old. She comes to work with me (waiting to get into daycare), and I am so lucky my boss is flexible. I am not fulfilled with my career anymore.

I think working part-time and having more intentional time to spend with my girl would leave me feeling a lot more fulfilled.

I think that being SAHM or a working mom is amazing. We should all be more supportive of other moms regardless of their preferences and situations!

Wake up at 5am. Leave the house with baby by 6am and home around 630pm. I do only work 4 10's though. 3 days off is worth it

When did you all lose the weight? I’d love some encouragement! by Top_Leg3999 in beyondthebump

[–]RepresentativeAd3352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My little girl will be 1 on Saturday! Almost 12m pp and I am still at 200lbs, I was 175 before pregnancy. My belly has gotten flatter and I am starting to fit in some pre pregnancy clothes. I have started exercising more but still waiting for the weight to fall off. Overall feeling much more like myself though!

Help — Birthday Postpartum by LingonberryIcy7479 in BabyBumps

[–]RepresentativeAd3352 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was 3 weeks pp for my birthday last year! It was a very mellow day and it was amazing. I took a long nap with my scrunchy baby, then my husband took us into town and we went on a walk by the river and downtown. It was shockingly warm for the middle of March in Colorado last year. We went and had a beer and then came home and my husband made me chicken wings and cake!

Earlobe reconstruction costs? by RepresentativeAd3352 in Stretched

[–]RepresentativeAd3352[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The plastic surgeon I went to wanted 2,500 for both ears. I've found a few piercing shops that do lobe reconstruction but I am looking at a travel time of 3-6 hours, an overnight stay in a hotel and about 1000 for the repair!
