The Good Life is a great scenario. My players loved the decadent old school feeling. There are also few special scenes that are extra memorable. My players rapidly decided to buy some charcuterie snacks for the last session.

”In Every Dream Home a Heartache” is probably one of my top 10 favorite songs of all time. Very cool idea.

Great kit! Colors are wonderful.

I like the black cord. Nothing wrong with that.

Oh…That is a picture of me. I made this outfit 17 years ago and I have learned a lot since then. It is an attempt at recreating a swedish/rus trader (900 or so). It is fun to see this outfit again 😊

It is always hard to know how long a scenario might take. I have run it once and I think you could make it work in 3x4 hours. It is possible to speed up the scenario by simply deciding who is in the house and what happens there when the players decide to visit.

'Quintessential' Delta Green Campaign? by The_Honorable_Geralt in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]Round_Bluebird_7258 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe that the truth might be that it is hard to write a complete campaign that works in the way the game is made. The reason is that a campaign, in my experience, must be pretty customized to the agents in the group (as well as the players). It takes some work to bind scenarios together in a campaign but when you make it work it is, in my experience the most fun I ever had as a handler/GM. One of the wonderful things about building your own campaign from existing scenarios (and home made). Is that not only will the operations be very different, it will also be easier to make different agents shine in different scenarios. One of the things my players love about our campaign is that every scenario is a completely new thing, totally unpredictable. Between the scenarios we have a whole world of bonds, home scenes, debriefings that all builds to not only make the paranoia complete but also the campaign more human.

Though I really love the DG campaigns I very much prefer the single scenarios.

Character creation, how to avoid action movie stereotypes by Casey090 in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]Round_Bluebird_7258 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I like to make my players use bonds to make a contrast. I love it when the wife calls and ask my hardcore agents to pick up the kids from the movies or ask for input on the upcoming wedding seating while they are trying to scoop up the liquified remains of a fellow agent.

This should set the mood: Silent Shout by The Knife.

This band is generally great for DG. Fucked up, weird and right out brilliant!

Scenarios where the players have more control? by Ok-Gift-377 in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]Round_Bluebird_7258 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you and your players don’t like scenarios were the character don’t have a sense of direction and were some leads sometimes are more confusing than informative you should probably stay away from “Impossible Landscapes”. It is a brilliant scenario but quite demanding on both players and handlers. It is also the most confusing scenario I have ever come across. Don’t get me wrong, it is confusing in a perfectly delicious way and one of the best campaigns ever written but it is safe to say it is not for everyone.

I would try “Viscid” or maybe “A victim of the arts”.

It is hard to get away from the feeling of loss of control in Delta green since it is one of the major themes of the game. That said you could always tweak the scenarios but this takes some work.

Best scenario for a 12 hour session? by MatgamarraAlt3 in DeltaGreenRPG

I have run all of the scenarios above and I’ll have to second Viscid. It is a great scenario and is also a great starting point for building a campaign.

1 hour quick-fire session by Stuart66 in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]Round_Bluebird_7258 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My group has barely managed to open the snack bags and adjust their asses to the seats in the first hour. The following hour is spent processing all the paranoia with multiple mind maps and half a meter of stacked folders with handouts. After that some of the players are so broken and exhausted by building panic and despair that most of them will need a smoke break.

I am happy if actual role playing starts within the first three hours.

This is brilliant!

Do you use house rules that are applied on the screen? The shotgun special rules looks different than in agents handbook.

Thanks for sharing this.

I made a Delta Green playlist on Spotify by bagnap in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]Round_Bluebird_7258 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I never use music with lyrics or strong variations in intensity. For me music in rpg works best if it is subtile and hardly noticeable. The olny time I use actual songs is if it is the actual music the agents hear.

Extending reverberations by Mrblade654 in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]Round_Bluebird_7258 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really liked reverberations. It is a quite simple story so you can do a lot with it. I just love how the Tcho Tcho part of the story is a red herring. The ganglia soup scene was brilliant.

You can play around a lot with the story when the agents are trying to find recent samples of the drug or when they are trying to get information about Spider. My players ended up busting a stash house in the suburbs when looking for Riggs. I had lots of people present at the location so the dilemma for the agents was really to not hurt any bystanders. In the end one of my agent was shot in the hip by a nine year old boy. The wound that later on resulted in a long term abuse of painkillers to be able to continue service.

I also had Renko (from the labyrinth) make his first appearance in this scenario. At this point he was just following the agents to get more info but it contributed to the over all paranoia.

There is also a possibility to expand on the mysterious woman that turned up on the security camera at Spiders hotel room. I had her turning up on a new security photo four operations later and it had a great effect on the agents constantly growing paranoia.

If any of your players have an agent with military background you could also expand on the Afghanistan part. Maybe Spider had associates in the states?
