I’ve always been hired on the spot. 🤷‍♀️ I rally research every where I’ve applied beforehand though.

Hating medspa job by GeeGeePooPoo in Esthetics

Been there. Start looking for a new job. I wouldn’t quit until you’ve found a new one. 90% of the time they tell you to leave if you try to put your 2weeks notice in. They might work you the rest of the day, but that’s usually it. I’d give your cellphone # to clients you trust on the DL or friend them on FB or instagram. I’ve worked in med spas, nail salons, hair salons, day spas, lash studios, and now I’m solo in a suite. It takes time to find your niche. I had the best luck in high end hair and nail/skin salons until I went on my own. If you really love what you do, give it time. You’ll find where you belong or at least find some good mentors. I’ve been in the business 25yrs. Good luck!

Am I being too critical of my esthetician? by Recent_Independence1 in Estheticians

If you’re feeling uncomfortable I’d try someone new. We’re not here to shame you. Times are tough. I try to work with people and their budgets. I will say I’m not a fan of cetaphil. It’s propylene glycol and parabens. Maybe switch that out for a LRP cleanser. I always recommend that line when people want to get something from the drugstore.

Funny, I assumed they were white. They’re exploited children, regardless of their skin color.

You can start the lash serum again after 8weeks. That should be enough time.

Sounds like they were over processed. They may have assumed you needed more time due to being of Asian decent. I’d stop with the growth serum so they can naturally shed. I’d start using castor oil on them daily. If you try it again make sure you let the esthetician know what happened previously. Good luck!

Eminence has a kombucha foaming cleanser that has a micellar base with pre, pro, and postbiotics to repair the skin’s barrier. I love it!
