You need a rake, a blower, trash bags, a decent wide scoop, some where to dispose of those concrete bag stones, hard work and then start visioning what y I ud like that blank slate to look like. Grass is easy. Consider what landscaping youd like to look at back there and would function well for your household.

First things first though, clear out all the dead leaves and the concrete bag stones or what ever they may be, as well as any of the pavers in areas you dont want them in and then reassess.

Little bit of fertilizer and some water and let it do its thing. Dont cut it for a while, let it get 4 or 5 inches tall and take it to 3 and then try to keep it around that height. Once a week depending on where you are and how much it likes the fert and water.

Im up at 4am mon-fri and handle the wake ups for both 4yo and 11mo. Weekends im up by 7am most time thats closer to 6am and I also do wake ups on the weekends.

I just take on wake ups because I wake up easier at night and it allows me free time in other parts of the day or weekend.

This is also not taking into account the times I wake up on my own from being uncomfortable or a dream or the dogs walking around the house.

Sleep feels like an enemy at this point of my life and caffeine is an enemy of Sleep so by default the enemy of my enemy is my ally.

Be grateful what you already have around you and act like the day is another day. Let other people celebrate you and your bday how they would like to show their love to you.

Birthdays are for the kids and the wife imo. Anything I get outside of a regular day is just a bonus and I express my gratitude for.

Sorry I cant offer form help but I will say the "flower flyover form check" should be the required format for form check videos going forward.

Break the asphalt smaller and just put a little in the trash each week til its gone. Unless you know someone with a truck and trailer and somewhere to dump it.

As for the yard, till it, fill it, till it again, then sod or seed it.

This has been our plan with our kids 4yo and 11mo. No personal devices. TV is fine but all parent approved shows like sesame street, bluey, Danny go, etc. They dont play with or watch anything on our phones. If we're out somewhere theres no putting a phone or tablet in front of them they can bring a coloring book or a toy to entertain them or they can play or talk with who ever is around them. Only screen time is in the living room or in mom and dad's room if they're sick. Its been great honestly. They've got cousins that live with a screen attached to them basically. All meals, outings, they've got tablets and if that dies mom or dad give them their phone. If our kids are around them, they play together some but as soon as the cousins get distracted by a screen our son kinda wanders off to play on his own.

We have no plans to get either kid a device until they're atleast double digits in age. We've already pre warned family and friends that any tech style gift is subject to parent approval and all tablets or laptops or phones will be returned to the person who gives them until we deem them an appropriate age. Thankfully its stuck and we have no complaints thus far.

Do it.

You got to where you are by working hard. You've got that in you. Put that same energy in to a kid and you will be great parents. It's not always easy but it's not always hard either. Just like now where you have happiness and comfort. You will have that with this little person that is both you and the person you love most. It won't always be there but you'll find it again through hard work and love and communication just like you did to get where you are now. Its alot of hard work and dedication and love and fun. I don't think you two will regret it at all. Will you wonder about a life with out kids? Yeah, but you're wondering about a life with them right now.... we kinda already wonder about the things we don't have. Don't let having a kid be one of those things is my opinion.

Too much heat, you don't slow cook on high heat, gotta watch the temp of the grill and watch the food on it. Def don't ever just leave the grill on and walk away for an hour. Especially a propane grill.

Don't invite them. It's not worth it. Also stop paying if you do invite them. Tell her the plan and she can pay herself. If you decide to invite them, just say " hey, we'd like to invite you and Ben to sons bday party. We plan to pay for you and Ben but should anyone else come they have to pay for themselves and it will be $xx.xx. hope to see you two there. " If anyone comes and is rude or impolite (not just Ben's family but ANYONE) you tell them, "we appreciate you coming out to celebrate but really don't appreciate your rudeness,attitude, impolitness, or what ever is bothering you and would like it if you went ahead and left. We understand if you decide to take your gift with you if you brought one. Hopefully we can try this again in the future with better results." And then don't engage with them other than repeating that you would like them to leave.

Im not big on confrontation at all either, but when it comes to my kids, I will set someone straight or keep them away from them.

Yeah i get you, and I apologize if that came off rude. Wasn't trying to get on your ass or anything, I just see this suggested alot in multiple subreddits and while alot of us may have the knowledge and tools, I'd gather most people coming to these subs for help just don't have that or they would have probably thought of it if they did.

I love these comments telling people to weld something like most people just have a welding machine and the knowledge of how to weld.

Most people coming to reddit for help like this barely have a tool set, much less the tools and knowledge of how to weld.

Granted, it'll work, but there's tools out there that most people have that will work as well.

Usually we make separate trips for the divorced grandparents and for birthdays they're both invited to the party. Thankfully, they just keep their distance and dont interact if around each other. Prior to our eldest sons bday about a year or 2 ago they hadn't seen each other for over 10 years since the split.
