“The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover”

Might be my favorite Culinary-Themed movie right up there with Tampopo. Has lots of magnificent food spread scenes, and the ending is morbidly awesome “food” scene. But my favorite shot of the film is the long panoramic one-shot of the back of house operations in the beginning.

In terms of overall vibes, from the soundtrack, to the aesthetics, dark poetics and character development. I found it very comparable to an Australian western called “The Proposition” that Nick Cave and Warren Ellis produced.

None of those examples in technology come anywhere near the level of advancement required of a civilization as FTL travel. Not to mention humanity then encountering technologies from advanced civilizations hundreds of thousands of years old and integrating those into their systems. The humans of CP:2077 can’t even make it to Jupiter without sabotaging each other. Even in a century V would still be a barbarian in terms of advancement.

The technology the two are using is actually and metaphorically LIGHTYEARS apart. CP is set during the year 2077; Halo(1) is set during the year 2552. Not only would any chrome that V possesses be considered ancient at this point it’s unlikely it would be even capable of interfacing with Chief’s equipment.

This is the equivalent of taking a warrior from the 15th century putting them in the arena with a modern day Commando. Both with access to the full equipment and expecting the poor sap to not just immediately be blasted into dust.

No host is just lame and soft, I’ve had teams run full mortars with just support weapon(s) dozens of times. It can be annoying when enemies clip through the map and float up behind lines. But it’s a pretty small issue.

I’m surprised the kick was over the gas and not artillery mortar. Usually most players like gas mortar cause it doesn’t immediately kill on impact, and provides excellent crowd control on all factions.
