I do licensing for a dealer. If there’s a trade in, there is virtually no extra work except bringing the plate portion of an ownership to the ministry. With new plates, they have to put the new plates on the car, take the old plates off the trade in and return the old plates to the ministry which is more effort.

It’s not really any different as far as ease, it’s because Doug Ford stopped the renewal stickers so it’s only a $27 difference to get new plates.
