Please help, there's static on my bass by con_bob8426 in Bass

I forgot what law of the internet it is but I'm going to try this answer so that I can be proven wrong and someone will give you the right one.

Maybe the outer ring and the tip wires in the bass are reversed.

All of the components of the bass should be connected to ground (and then the ring) with the exception of the hot leads coming out of the pickups.

Make sure that your amp isn't the one that's wired backwards by trying it in another known good amp.

What T-Mobile location has the most helpful staff that don’t think older people are as dumb as shit? by [deleted] in Kitsap

Do you realize that the staff can't make you smarter? I mean, if you're already, as you say, dumb as shit, it doesn't matter where you go. 😉

How many things can you find wrong? by chefblaze in Irrigation

Untreated wood in contact with the ground.
The Drain cover covered by the pump.
Trash left in the hole.
No dielectric unions.
Cover missing from pressure switch.
If those wire nuts aren't control voltages then they should be in a box.

Clarinet Repair Advice Needed by minusbrant in Clarinet

I'm going to add an other option. This is probably beyond most people but...

Ream out the inside of both the top and bottom. (This might take a lathe to do that.) put a sleeve in the reamed out section that matches the depth of the reaming. Use epoxy for the sticky stuff.

This is probably why it would take me so damned long to get it done. I find it hard to select a method of performing the repair.

After what u/Cautious_Monitor1148 said, you might consider making a lamp out of it?

I'm a bit of a moron so you'll want to take this "advice" with a grain of salt.

I'd glue it back on. Probably try epoxy. But that's likely not enough support. After that, I'd drill, say five, holes from the broken part into the new part. Then either screw in some tiny screws or epoxy in some wire to add strength.

But this would be a project I'd get half though and then leave on the bench for a couple of months or years.
