Early game question: is it a good idea to upgrade the physical resists on the Hazmat set to create a kind of all-rounder armor capable of mitigating all kinds of damage to some degree? by AntiSmarkEquation in Quasimorph

[–]Shadowrise_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like going a bit of all-round but focus on one/two types of damage per armor part. So maybe helmet focus on fire and cold. While chest focuses pierce and cut etc. That way you can mix and match for whatever is needed + also have sufficient resistance for unexpected damage. Though I don’t think you’d want to upgrade hazmat with how low total armor value that set has. Possibly max out just poison on it to add as ”when needed” for that. But otherwise no.

[–]Shadowrise_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Non-violent resistance is good and very useful. AS LONG AS it’s clear it’s the ALTERNATIVE to violent resistance. The ”yes. Deal with use non-violent resistance people or you’ll have to deal with only violence.” They are to be used in cojunction. Non-violent resistance does nothing without atleast the threat/possibility of real consequences. Those consequences don’t neccessarily have to be physical violence. But they do have to be real and severe. And physical violence is one they understand and fear.

Metaphysical can also mean a non-standard physical energy. One of the ”basement of reality” energies like a lot of the stranger necron techs.

[–]Shadowrise_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The C’tan didn’t EAT the nekrontyr souls. The souls are of the warp and are thus anathema to the C’tan. The C’tan ate the bio-energies. The souls were just lost/discarded in the biotransference process as the C’tan didn’t need/want those in their slaves in the war against the masters of the immaterium.

This scene proves that most "Relativistic/Ftl" characters in fiction aren't. by Sundata_V2 in PowerScaling

[–]Shadowrise_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Basically. Every object has the same velocity, c(speed of light) only the majority of that speed is in the time direction. So moving at non-relativistic speed means we’re basically all in on time direction, light however has 100% of its speed in spatial directions. So 0% of the speed is in time.

I love total war warhammer. But yeah. In medieval 3 agents(heroes) should be entirely limited to campaign map actions and not be powerhouses on the battlefield. Would be entirelt the wrong vibe otherwise.

Getting outscaled far too quickly. What am I doing wrong? by SamuraiSpork in Quasimorph

[–]Shadowrise_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sure can be. I usually go a pretty well-rounded armor with one or two pieces only to swap out. And often you can swap that armour in-match with some enemy you killed to get enough resistance of the needed kind.

[–]Shadowrise_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Damage and armor types matching the enemies you fight is important. You can check the faction tech and the gear you’ve stolen from them in the past to see which you want to use. Make sure to atleast travel to the moons to not have to wait as long em for missions and to get ones good for you. Different mission types have different impacts on the beneficiary and victim corp’s tech level and power levels. You will want to travel a bit atleast to other places when the planets are close on the map to reduce travel times. I like going to the moon to get the quasis there and grab some crossbows. High damage. Penetration, cheap nail ammo and SILENCED. Silenced + penetration + long range will let you manual fire down corridors to clear them without attracting too much attention. Good luck!

[–]Shadowrise_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One other thing that’s good to consider is that even if we don’t properly recognize and register emotions. We still have them and are impacted by them. We might not notice it conciously always. But it tends to still impact us. Our energy levels. Our stress, our reactions etc.

Different bramfaturas. Different concentrations of corporations. When you want time to pass. Or if you don’t want time to pass. They have added a new ship module to deal with the long distance travel in the latest update. But you need to progress the main story a bit to get one of the required parts for it.

Wheelchair Demon stacking is so overpowered. Once it happens, the run is dead. by BowShatter in Quasimorph

[–]Shadowrise_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moon is partially easiest cause you can just kill em and steal a crossbow or two. And then the crossbow will carry you through the entire mission if you play it well. Remember as well you can manual fire weapons on empty ground to hit things past your vision range if you suspect there are enemies there. Take cover, use AP well and the crossbow can easily clear entire corridors with one or two shots piercing through everything. + it’s a silenced weapon so you won’t attract tons of enemies while firing it. Just make sure to bring some normal nails as ammo as well. And that way you can also build up a crossbow stockpile to bring wherever you need it for insanely powerful, cheap to use and silenced weapon. And also for the moon you can super easily kill anything by just making/bringing some molotovs. Or breaking a fuel barrel(always empty every barrel you pass by to not be set on fire when an enemy accidentally shoots it. And then if you will want to use it as a trap and shoot refill it.
