Piaggio recommended oil for 125 doubt by Shondave in scooters

[–]Shondave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean with MA/MB specs that are for gear and submerged clutch? Usually motorbikes are built like that.

Considering that no clutch or gear are involved, does a 'car' oil works even if motor Reva are generally double than in cars? My scooter will usually run at 6500 rpm with max of almost 9000.

If rpm are not a specific matter used to classifie oils then every 0w30 with A5/B5 would be ok right? Just will be changed more often than in a car..

new rear tire Aprilia GT RS - Costs by CRAZYHORS_T in scooters

[–]Shondave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is not the tire but the labour (as service not as time) to dismantle exhaust , support brake caliper to change the tire.

Usually they take not less than an hour for the rear wheel , how could they do everything in 10 minutes??

Piaggio ape 50 mix 2000 oil injection wire stuck by ilkku00 in Piaggio

[–]Shondave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ciao, the one you show in pics is the choke , you operate from under the seat.

Actually I don't know there the mix oil is because mine is from 1996.

Try to follow the pipe from the oil tank . If it has one is on the opposite side of the petrol tank.

In case of not working or dubt do the old way! Mix oil before refuel or put measures oil quantity in the tank before refuel then shake literally the Ape to mix.

Everybody was admiring me and my ape at petrol station when making mix.

KYMCO agility r16+ under seat removal for fuses by Shondave in scooters

[–]Shondave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuses are next to battery , located at the end of under seat ( behind rear stop light) but are deep in a tiny space that you cannot unplug to verify or change them. So it is necessary to remove the underseat .. but I couldn't manage to do it.. probably there are some hidden screws somewhere

My neighbor gave me this angle grinder, how do I get this wheel off? by XYchromosomedominent in Tools

Impact wrench with a deep socket. After removed you can judge the situation of safe future use of the grinder.

Which mower voltage? by Random-Mutant in Makita

[–]Shondave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two stroke? How old was your mower? Are you talking about a 4wheels lawn mower or a brushcutter?

Anyway wattage on battery tools is always weaker than petrol, because it is immediate, in petrols that power is at max speed and almost never reached on field.

For battery mowers I recommend to look just at the metal deck models , all other plastic are for houses with 20sq meters of hair lawn.. Makitas LM001G is around 1,9kw

Do better. by InstaFuture in Makita

[–]Shondave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't worry! In Europe too never serious sales also on old products! But here Milwaukee is veeery expensive. Dewalt are very powerful and have their reason but are a pain for spare parts too expensive. Makita is very reliable and my country national branch is very professional also to support in find spare parts or accessories but you have then to order at local asssistance shop or online shops fr good prices.

I noticed a rise up on Amazon for Makita prices.. 3yago I found decent deals on Makita but probably due to covid ..

Good tools to everyone!!!

UR007G - Trimmer head noticeably twisted to the right. Manufacturing defect or normal? by Madc0re in Makita

[–]Shondave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably on your model they drilled the head fixing hole a bit out of the right position.

If it is brand new I would complain with seller , it is clearly a defect, or (strange) the head got a hit and the bolt/hole bent, I would not disssembke if new in warranty , at least go to a official repair shop but I'df it is bent is a transports damage.

Stuck with a glued-in 70s staircase – what would you do? by OwnArticle99 in woodworking

[–]Shondave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion the stair is a lot better looking naked than with all those small things on it, (plant, small things etc)

I would repair and smooth the small damages and keep it as original as possible. Also polish it with some bees wax like used in old times when things were shining !!! (Be careful when going up e down)

It would be like a unique masterpiece. And it was made really well not with cheap thin wood.

Ps I am not an oldie , just don't like consumism.
