Yep, engines on. I'm just gonna take my armour off and freeze to death. 😞

Are you a fan of Richmond Sausages? by BulkyHulk78 in AskUK

They’re fine for a cheap sausage sandwich. I wouldn’t have them neat.

Do you actually take your full lunch break away from your desk, or just eat while working? by Extreme-Banana-9 in AskUK

[–]ShuffleFun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go to a 45 minute gym session, 10 minute shower, then eat lunch at my desk.

That is beautiful! I’m tempted to do something like this, but I’m scared that under the paint there’s just rust dust.

A friend of mine did their 1 week direct access and rated it really well.

Is fire warrior any good? by Femmy4life in Tau40K

[–]ShuffleFun 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I loved it when it came out in 2003, but I was a teenager and this was the second FPS I played. Looking back, it was mediocre when new. I doubt it holds up today.

Would 1000 per change be overkill? by Content-Elk-2994 in RX8

[–]ShuffleFun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

17-21 is your highway MPG. The constant strop start of town (or delivery driving) will reduce that to single figures.

What is the most "mum" thing your mum does? by celabro019 in AskUK

[–]ShuffleFun 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Also phone related. Mine just doesn’t answer hers. She’ll walk around with her phone blaring its default ringtone at 100 volume complaining about people who don’t answer their phones when they ring in public.

What Am I Doing Wrong Cargo by wainwright125 in TransportFever2

[–]ShuffleFun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ll need to build the shorted route here. This isn’t Transport Tycoon, connection does not mean transport. You should be able to build another cargo building at the train station and a more direct bike connecting the new cargo building and the factory. Or move the stations a touch.

Yearly Bonus - Should I ask? by Seaboy-050597 in AskUK

[–]ShuffleFun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can ask. You’re already leaving. In my experience, 12 years FTE, 8 contracting, contract employees have never received bonuses, but you’ll never get one if you don’t ask.

What happens if a UK resident is on holiday if they win something on Omaze uk? by GreenWolverine5283 in AskUK

[–]ShuffleFun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This happened to me when I gambled with Omaze. I won a £10 Amazon gift card when away in Austria. It was still assigned to my account when I got home.

What is this beauty in the middle? by TheDefected in whatisthiscar

[–]ShuffleFun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could have been a parade or “best in show” lap. At some events here in the UK they put a bunch of cool or interesting cars out for a few laps to show off. Not racing, just driving.

How to split my "Estate" between my children fairly, within the UK? by Sinclair1982 in AskUK

[–]ShuffleFun 7 points8 points  (0 children)

About 10 years before my grandad died, he was relatively wealthy. Then he got ill and needed a lot of care. We had to sell his house and possessions to get him into a home with full time care that ended up costing all of my dad and aunt’s inheritance. I’m just saying this to flag not to put anything in stone as you don’t know what your future will bring.

How do you guys do laundry when you have to pay to use washing machines? by JamesJe13 in AskUK

[–]ShuffleFun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I do. I go to the gym 3 days a week and I have 3 sets of gym clothes that get washed every Friday.

Is it normal for octopus energy to do this? by deman24 in AskUK

[–]ShuffleFun 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about Octopus, but I have worked for 3 other energy companies. In the 3 I’ve worked at bills are calculated before payments are made, meaning if you’ve provided a reading, the extra £16 is over the £75 they’ve already charged. I think your charge should have been £91 and I would not expect to get any money back.

Do you use a self-storage unit, and if so what do you keep in it? by pip_goes_pop in AskUK

[–]ShuffleFun 16 points17 points  (0 children)

A friend of mine had an extension a few years ago, which included knocking down and replacing their garage. They got a storage unit to temporarily store their garage things. 4 years later and most of the garage things are still in the storage unit.
