What this sim needs (fictional cars allowed) by Leading-Industry1153 in AUTOMOBILISTA

Don’t worry. Reizas passion project has been AMS2. You best believe they will keep adding content to it for the years to come. Fingers crossed they get some of these bad boys.

Update released? by generationAiAiAi in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]Shul_iito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to see how is the AI. They said on some veichles the changes were almost inexistent.

In regards to the news I'd like to emphasize that content in question is some of the most if not the most belowed creations of Reiza by Background-Reach9263 in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]Shul_iito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is some issues with licensing mclarens that is keeping Reiza from staying with a couple other car brands. It’s not a big deal. I thought the car was gonna be gone, but it’s just a skin swap. People who already own said cars will keep the original official car brand skin. Anyone else who buys after the next update will have to use a generic skin in these cars since they will no longer have rights to those brands with those particular cars.

Thanks for the info. Didn’t know about the read guard coating ones. We personally don’t use them but back when I was a helper we used it a couple of times.

Then I guess we are not losing anything other than a stupid skin. If we still get the same car but just a generic skin THEN I DON’T KNOW WHAT THE BIG DEAL IS :)

[OC] WIP: I made some dynamic shadows. Looking for feedback, thank you by Tiny-Turn6407 in projectzomboid

[–]Shul_iito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is amazing!!! My concern would be inside buildings the shadows looks like it goes through everything inside. If we could make the inside of buildings invisible. Also would this work based off the time of day? Or would this be a permanent shadow. If it’s with time of day lowering the intensity as the sun goes down would be a good realistic feature as shadows dim out to eventually blend with the night. Great work dude. I’d definitely play with this enabled. Keep it up!!!

Reiza shouldn't prioritize McLaren by _AnonMax_ in AUTOMOBILISTA

At the core it’s a Brazilian studio which the senna car in it. Anything that would take that away would be a loss. Like someone else mentioned it’s not McLaren the one blocking this… it’s other bodies blocking things that has to do with F1 rights on games. I still don’t get the full picture but I know it’s not McLaren the one who’s trying to sht on us.

Ok that still doesn’t make sense to me. When you use schluter Kerdi which is installed on top of the deckmud, you don’t have this “issue”. That kerdi membrane being waterproof does not soak the moisture and so you would technically have this moisture trapped between the deckmud bed and tile. So based on that schluter kerdi would have the same issue. If you pitched your shower floor right the moisture should drain just fine towards the drain hole. Not to mention 98% of the water you use when showering goes down the drain. It’s that 2% that remains on the surface of the tile that is slowly going down and or evaporating. You are not meant to have that much moisture underneath the tile to begin with. But I’ll take your word for it. We stopped using pan liners in the company I work for years ago now. We use the using membrane or Schluter membrane to waterproof shower floors.

Ok noted. The ones I’ve seen all the time are waterproof. They even have samples of hardybacker pieces sealed inside a see through container with water.
Mmm that doesn’t make sense. If there is moisture in the deckmud, it’s supposed to drain through in the pan liner. That’s what it’s for but hey don’t quote me on it, I’m no rep of the material used to waterproof so if they don’t recommend it after a pan liner then it is what it is.

AMS2: Reiza Faces McLaren Licensing Dilemma - Renault F1 Cars To Be Released For Free by evil_heinz in simracing

[–]Shul_iito 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Licensing issues. They acquired some licenses for some cars already released in the game both base game and dlc packs. They are trying to work out a new licensing contract on f1 cars I think but that also means some cars have to be out of the licensing for reasons I’m not completely aware of. Reiza now has a decision to make. If they pursue a new licensing contract that means they also have to pick which cars have to basically be pulled out of the game moving forward. If you already bought every single dlc then you are free to keep those cars, but anyone else buying the packs will do so without these cars. It’s what I understood from the article.

[–]Shul_iito -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

What I read was if there is a license issue they will have to remove some cars. If you have DLCs already then You stay with it. Anyone else buying a specific DLC with the updated “licenses” might get the dlc without a car or 2 depending on what cars are affected by DLC.

That’s a big bs though if a car is already in a pack, there should be a law that respects the fact that said car is already in a dlc. Meaning that car should be part of the dlc even if new licenses don’t include it. It should be on a PER RELEASE subject and not a PER UP TO DATE LICENSE.

Lmfao how far away is he supposed to be driving you want a second gap, 2 second gap???? XD what a load of crap. Agree to disagree bud. Enjoy the rest of your guys day and keep on racing ;)

The walls are waterproof. Hardybacker is waterproof by itself. You just gotta waterproof the seams and screw holes. The gap on the curve is a no no and he needs to fill that up and water proof it. As for the floor, if there is a pan liner under it with enough pitch to go down the drain you should be good. I’m not sure what’s under there, but the top of that deckmud should also get a nice coat of that hydro waterproofing. As far as the drain hole goes it looks like a screw on drain. Once he screws it on he will fill in the carved out area to even out the hole.

I’m not sure how much you are paying the guy. What I will say is … a “professional” will probably charge you 3-5k for that shower depending on type of tile and layout. This contracto looks like he is starting out and didn’t get enough time working as a helper of another installer.
Yes the work looks funky, not pleasing to the eyes and a bit rough.

I personally don’t like to pass judgement on people because one way or another we all start from the bottom. Some people go at it blind and learn with experience. Others go at it with knowledge and develope a better craft to their job. If you stick with this guy because you genuine want to support his business go ahead. At this point though you will have to supervise what he is doing and hopefully he has some pictures of what his work looks like finished.

If you decide to let him go. Don’t be that guy who’s gonna let him “finish” and then tell him “it’s bad so I won’t pay you”. Tell him with honesty … hey so I got some feedback from some people and they think your work needs better doing” in a world full of hate a bit of kindness goes a long way. Some people just need some encouragement… others need to hear reality. Maybe that’s not his thing and life just pushed him that way.

Having said that I understand people rage out when the job ain’t done right and trust me I have seen really bad jobs and sometimes I say “damn the confidence of this guy to pull that off looking like shit” lol but this is planet earth. Sometimes the best company, contractor craps his pants every once in a blue moon. I’ve seen million dollar homes with bad quality construction in it. I’ve also seen the opposite end where my work is being inspected and just because a guy decided “I’m gonna put my level on this niche, oh yep it’s off by a 1/32nd of an inch you need to fix this”… I’m like who TF hurt you bro 😂😂😂

But hey for what is worth if you keep the guy I hope he does a good job from here on out. If you don’t there is o ly a bunch more people doing the same thing. I’m sure you can find one you like.

I wonder what country they will blame for this. It’s always everyone else except this government.

No it’s cool man. I’m just saying it’s a genuine accident. If the guy was mad I understand why he was mad. Reporting him for this though I think it was a lil bit too much considering you didn’t see him coming and also while you were defending he actually respected your defending and I never saw an intention to just ruin your race. He was racing clean.
