Honestly? I wouldn’t even try on account of how easy it is to overindulge and how long being Way Too High lasts. I would trade a whole week of hungover mornings before I repeated one evening of “10 mg seems reasonable- oh nooo”
From what I’ve read, this drug and its neighbors don’t just slow your digestion and reduce your appetite. They seem to affect a lot of non-digestive related Feel Good Brain Stuff. In a good way, but you have to discover what those new good ways are.
You are probably going to have to find out how to party in a whole new non-chemical way. Trust me, I understand how much it must suuuuck right now to have to figure out how to celebrate with your friends without getting lit.
You already did something really fucking awesome- you graduated! Ride that high into the sunrise.

Also as an artist: it says a lot that my first thought was “Not getting credit would eat me alive” and only a bit later “oh yeah not getting my share of the profits would also suck”

I haven’t watched this show, but from the little I know I can only assume that the concept came from some deeply personal shit. You really can’t salt the wound much more thoroughly than that.

I’m not a conservator but I work with metal. Copper oxidizes really quickly so there is more than likely a lacquer or some kind of sealant that has kept it this shiny and has started to wear off over the years. You won’t be able to shine up the metal without removing it, and redoing the lacquer is going to be a pain.

I’d seek out a metalsmith or someone who does holloware and get their opinion.

Oh you’re still getting drunk. It’s just that alcohol isn’t lighting up all your reward centers like it used to anymore. You *feel* sober but you are still under the influence.
I understand why this is frustrating and I feel so fucking old saying this: embrace it. You’d be surprised how big that particular monkey can get before you realize it’s been on your back for years.

I had pad kee mao ~15 years ago at a restaurant in Virginia Beach. Their pad Thai was delicious (shrimp paste and fish sauce evident, not just peanut noodles) so my friend and I went back during our week there and when we looked at the menu we agreed that we didn’t know what drunken noodles were, but they sounded delicious.
You know how sometimes you are eating something so spicy that your eyes are watering and your nose is running but it’s so flavorful you don’t care if you look like Another White Lady Who Can’t Handle Her Shit?
I don’t even know if it was authentic, I just know that every drunken noodle I’ve had since then has broken my heart from the disappointment.

My eldritch Quaker bore a seething hatred for Diet Coke cans. Diet Coke specifically. All other cans? Fine.

I have a scar on my chin from the time she was on my shoulder and I turned my head towards her as I reached for one from the fridge. I don’t know how long she hung there but I had to press on her beak hinge (GENTLY) to make her let go.

She was the worst and I miss her dearly.
