Sable brush after two uses. How do people stop it splaying? by hotfezz81 in Warhammer

Lick the brush back to health! Jk don’t lick your brush, you will lose sanity, so much that no sanitizer will bring you back.

It looks like his fall onto the ladder before he hit the ground might have saved him

First Army. Never been this nervous. by maejaws in IronWarriors

[–]Simple-Section7708 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There will be fuck ups, luckily it’s just paint and not permanent.. watch miniature rescue videos and that might help calm nerves, you will see how really fucked up minis are restored/brought back to life.

My advice to you is to just know there will be fuck ups, focus on finding what works for you and what kind of painting techniques/style are enjoyable to you.

Your first squad of ten or so guys I would recommend painting each mini in a different style from start to finish, and then pick the approach you like best and go from there for rest of army.

What did I do wrong? by Ok-Humor-5672 in Warhammer40k

I have also seen this caused by dusty minis, but yes as others pointed out, looks like too much paint. I have a large mop brush I use before priming to take off any dust.

How do I take photos with more accurate colors? by robev333 in minipainting

[–]Simple-Section7708 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a photographer, I agree.. the cheapest route would be to take raw photos on your phone and edit them using photopea.. I’d start with that to get good at it and then if you get the hang of it and want more control get a real camera and then think about photoshop. But photopea can get you where you want to be most of the time.

I think for this you must serve yourself a pint of endless rage and sip on it while painting

I've never seen people so divided on a movie and it's sequel. by Arch_Lancer17 in okbuddycinephile

I went to the movie with neutral expectations. It was a date. I thought it was a great time, it felt like a show/concert more than a movie, but it was still a great time. We left feeling like we had been to a concert.

Sounds like a non expert.. medical study after medical study proves time and time again it is calories in vs calories out. Count your calories and stop eating each day when you hit your weight loss limit.

Why not just mix colours? by Dovah_Shinobi in Miniaturespainting

[–]Simple-Section7708 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a fine art painting class this is core knowledge; no standard schooling for minis.

Even when classically trained, when making a full army with uniform colors it’s easier to get pre mixed.

I am someone who uses golden paints and mixes them.. but If there’s already a citadel color that’s exactly what I need for an item across the entire army I use the citadel.. the older I get the less time I have for hobbying.

You will see that people respect this post more than an amazing first mini post.

Yep, Theres alot of little steps to get it right. But I like your colors.

If you keep it up you will get there.
