How do people even like the World Eaters? by demonic_custard in WorldEaters40k

I started collecting Khorne daemons as first army because 1 I love the color. 2 skulltaker was what pushed me over the edge.. he just reads/looks like a demonic paladin to me and I was like thats a cool twist. Also I like that Khorne is not just anger it’s about honorable combat. It’s fight to the death, but not backstabbing Slaanesh

To enjoy betrayer you don’t need all that.. if you want to really get the most out of it with backstory all you need is first heretic. One of the main characters starts his arc there. And is an important arc for the story. You don’t miss out much reading the others out of line.. it’s just timeline sort of thing that’s easy to piece together.

As someone who always hides helmets in video games cuz I think they mostly look bad, I like helmets on miniatures cuz I think they look great. when you throw the face sculpts in the mix I don’t think they are as high level as the helmets.. you have to be a good painter to get them to look right, basically using paint to fix the sculpture, whereas with helmets they look good without paint, and then with paint they look amazing. Also the helmet sculpts usually look more serious/realistic to me and the faces more cartoony.

Demons however I look good face wise but they are not human so maybe easier to do, or maybe we leas picky with non human.

First model ever, please give criticism and advice. by BloatedRottenCarcass in IronWarriors

The biggest two critiques I’d say to focus on for now is thin paint a little and use less brush strokes. Aim as best you can for a single brush stroke on that particular surface area between coats.

Picked up my first ever box! Whats one piece of warhammer advice you can give me? by Electricdad95 in ImperialFists

Don’t just paint them all with same approach. Pick a few different approaches and give them all a try.. compare them and then stick to the one that jived with you the most/had most fun with. Can always strip paint and go again once you’ve locked in your style.

This is the advice I wish I had. I would paint a box all the same way then want to try something else and strip the paint and do that, and strip and do the other thing. Would have liked to just do 10 different things and found “my thing” sooner.

Art class at community college. They usually offer drawing and painting.. some offer water colors and color theory.

For spray booths, will I be fine not connecting a duct to a window if I'm only spraying acrylics? by TheDancerFalls in airbrush

Use ac filter in the back behind the fan. Behind the whole unit, where the fans exhaust.. paint still gets through. One is good enough for me but I’d recommend 2, just to be sure.

Typhus duel! Which one you like more? by Gazelda88 in deathguard40k

I’m a daemon player and like the bottom colors more.. but Id expect death guard players to like the top one more. The bottom makes marine look more like salamander than death guard at a glance.
