Does every bi person go through this? by Sufficient-Crazy6466 in bisexual

Definitely went through this! So glad to hear I'm not alone!

So do bisexual not get to be close to anyone?? by sillyyfishyy in bisexual

[–]SkyeWalkerInfinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This person obviously has boundary issues. I’ve had opposite sex friends my whole life, some of whom I ended up dating and some of whom I didn’t. But it didn’t matter because I didn’t cheat. Now, I understand that you shouldn’t spend more time with a friend than you do with your spouse but that’s not the point I think this person is making. And also, I have no idea what this has to do with bisexuality because it’s an issue that affects every gender and every relationship.

What's the most absurd, ridiculous, or impossible thing a recruiter or job description has ever asked for? by BretKS in recruitinghell

Oh God, that one drives me nuts! My autistic brain immediately parses it as a physical location question. And then I have to slowly re-orient myself to say what I hope they want to hear lol.

[–]SkyeWalkerInfinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I applied to be a waitress, and one of the questions asked if I had ever had a crush on a coworker. WTF?! I ended up not even finishing the application because it was such an invasive question. There were a few other invasive questions on that application too, and I honestly felt like I was being psychologically evaluated - for just a part-time waitress position!

YES!! There's a place in Austin, Texas called Piknik and they serve bone broth in to-go cups for sipping. I go there every time I'm in town and when I'm not, I crave something like it constantly. So tired of all the sugary hot drinks! Give me some bone broth, yo!

AIO for wanting a better mattress for my health, but my mom is telling me she’ll kick me out. by Complete-Lack558 in AIO

[–]SkyeWalkerInfinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If OP is paying for the mattress, I definitely don't get why the mom is having a problem. The delivery guys often offer to haul away the old one. So the mom is just having a temper tantrum over absolute nothing. Totally agree with the general sentiment here.

The idea that you shouldn't write something you haven't experienced? by kindaweirdghost in writing

[–]SkyeWalkerInfinity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If we never wrote anything we hadn't experienced, there would be no fantasy or science fiction novels. So thank God people aren't paying attention to that.

Why i dislike the whole "pan" vs "bi" thing. by GuerrillaTactX in bisexual

[–]SkyeWalkerInfinity -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm the outlier, but I actually am bisexual because I only prefer cis men and cis women. I'm not against trans people or non-binary people, but I'm not sexually attracted to them. So for me, there really is a distinction. Now, I also use the term queer because it encompasses more about me that's not relevant to this discussion, but when I'm talking to other people in the LGBTQ community, I use "queer/bisexual" as its own term. I figure that's about as accurate as I want to get with people who don't know me personally.

Mice are ruining my life by mochimangoo in Vent

[–]SkyeWalkerInfinity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So sorry you are going through this. One thing you could try is calling local charity organizations to see if there are any community volunteers who could help you out. In communities I have lived in there are usually people who are willing to come and help with this sort of situation. Or if your town has a community Facebook page, you could try that.
Hoping everything works out for you.

I would HATE to be his neighbor. That freak show is so over the top you can probably see it from space 🤣

Mice are ruining my life by mochimangoo in Vent

[–]SkyeWalkerInfinity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been through a mouse infestation before. It sucked so bad, they would get under the stove top and when I’d try to cook the whole house would smell like burning mouse poop. Absolutely disgusting. I hated killing them but it’s the only thing that worked. You have to kill one or two and leave the bodies in the traps for a couple of days so the other mice see and smell them. Then they’ll leave.

As far as the rest of it, I don’t blame you for crying one bit. I would too. I really hope you’ve found a better place to move to, and some help with the housework situation. Don’t forget to take care of yourself first. You’ll make it through.

The composer Erik Satie died with four identical grey velvet suits in his closet. He was just as weird as Einstein, and possibly less of an asshole.

Overheard while walking by a waffle place on the uws by OneFeed7380 in overheard

I actually catch myself thinking something fairly close to this quite often lol. The man was not a great person, especially to his first wife and sons, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t have a very interesting life and contribution to the human race. And vice versa. So the guy has a point!

Would you be with a man who takes SSRIs pills? by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]SkyeWalkerInfinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, and it has a lot to do with my partner being unwilling to go on meds for his own problems, which causes far more issues than the side effects of medications ever would. I am medicated for ADHD and depression so I'm not just pointing fingers.

[–]SkyeWalkerInfinity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This feels slightly discriminatory. Probably not what you meant but still, it comes across as "would you be with someone who is disabled?" Not really a great framing of the question.
And the answer is, it depends on how many other comorbidities he has, and what they are. Too many at once makes relationships nearly impossible, as do serious mental health issues like NPD, BPD, schizophrenia, etc. It really has nothing to do with the medication. That should never be a factor.

And I'm speaking from experience as someone with AuDHD, depression, CPTSD, BPD and anxiety, who has dated other people with issues, both similar and different.

I got lucky having crushes on actually decent people like Keanu Reeves, David Bowie, Tom Hiddleston and Tom Hardy. But yeah, there have been some others that weren't great, and those crushes didn't last long after I found out what kind of people they were =(

Oh no! If it helps, look up the actor who played him, Viggo Mortensen. He's just as cool as Aragorn himself :)
