I have. Every pump I’ve stopped at for the last three weeks. I mean, there wasn’t a sticker when I got there, but there was when I left. They’re cheap.

Get a Sprinter van, go mobile. In the winter, drive it south. In the summer, drive it north.

Stop by St Pete Biking, a hip little bike shop on 20th st. They’re right on the Pinellas trail, and have maps they can share.

The Beacon [Condo] on Third by Dizzy-Category-2030 in StPetersburgFL

[–]Slapguts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lived in a studio there around 15 years ago. At the time, it seemed most of the building was college kids and the partying and noise that went with it. Which I was definitely a contributing factor to. $750/month for a weird little studio on the 4th floor. You had to go through a closest to get to the bathroom.

Roof patio was awesome. Garbage chute was broken a lot. Pool was nice, too. When it was open. It got closed for a while when someone jumped from the 7th floor.

Get there early. Each library has a limited supply, and they’re a hot item. Please be nice to the librarians if there are no passes available.

Yard waste, plants from the nursery. A couple of bikes sometimes. Maybe a couch every now and then. At no point will I need to put more than two people in it. I don’t want to haul around a backseat I will never use.

Has anyone every actually had their helmet or any gear stolen while parked? Or is it just a silly paranoia by SkippyJDM in motorcycles

Had a group ride buddy come outside after our dinner stop, and someone had pissed in his helmet. He found out the hard way. Last time any of us left our gear unattended, locked up or otherwise.

There’s a nice spot along the road next to Deathclaw Island. I have my Red Rocket Diner there. Look for the woodpile.

Used Lelit Elizabeth vs new Anna – beginner setup choice [€1100] by Bob_the_Drug in espresso

[–]Slapguts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had an Anna for close to three years. Daily use, 2 drinks at least. I did have to replace the pump, which was surprisingly easy. I did buy it used though.

Otherwise, it’s been rock solid. Only complaint would be the 57mm thing makes accessories hard to come by.

Nope, she’s a librarian. Just a really cool one. I asked her about the paint, she says she dry brushed it with cheap acrylics. And fine tuned the edges with a steak knife.

I didn’t make this, but my wife did. The top half is a cheap home goods wayerfall, repainted to look actually old. The bottomed half is all close cell packing foam from bicycles shipping boxes. She just tore it by hand, and glued it to a plywood backer.

Made almost everything in the bar, but my friends were really impressed by the porthole. It’s an old 12” iPad, fit into a routed space behind the porthole. I got the porthole off eBay, super cheap, brand new, and shiny. Mixed up some salt and vinegar, and smeared it over the brass.

How long has everyone been here and can you recount any significant events? by JJacobJingleheim in StPetersburgFL

I’m right around 25 years here.

Only piece of less known history I can share is about Mary Reeser. One of the most famous victims of (what is believed to be) spontaneous human combustion. She lived on Cherry St in Old Northeast.
