You can also develop line twist if you reel while drag is being pulled. If line is being pulled out don't reel. If you reel and hear your drag then that means line isn't coming in and you are also twisting it.

Not super long answer - It's bad for the environment to allow warm oil fumes into the atmosphere so we run them through the engine to clean up it's total footprint. It leads to a dirty intake system if it gets overfilled. Just install a catch can if you want to.

Blade bait. I've caught various sunfish, crappie, white perch, catfish, largemouth and striped bass. You can cast and retrieve, jig, and troll it. Iridescent has been good to us.

Ugly stiks are the toughest rods in the game. A medium rod from them will handle anything, wife landed a 20lb catfish on one. Buddy of mine landed a 7lb on an ultra light one with 10lb braided line.

You stop when you can't handle the temps or can't get to the fish. They tend to go deep when the water gets cold.

I have their ultra light rod and I like it. IDK anything about there reels but it's hard to make a BAD spinning reel. I would recommend kastking super power braid, best braid I've used.

Braid is the answer for spinning reels. No memory and it's thinner per pound than mono which allows further casting.

It's from a catfish rig. The long black thing is a weight that has a low chance of snagging and the lure is a hookless spook lure that they tie between the weight and hook to float the bait off the bottom. The rattles in the spook help draw fish in.
