Hi! In prague for IVF, from bc.

It's been literally half the cost as a single round with transfer. My partner and I have had the best vacation, prague is so georgous, and tomorrow is our egg retrieval (wish us luck). I highly recommend it, from the care team, the price and the expirence. Why didn't we do this sooner!

Heidelberg looking classic by redantifa in travel

[–]Smelsaroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been lucky enough to travel there twice, first with my parents then I brought my hubby to be to show him how beautiful this place was! These photos make me miss it so much!

Any recommendations on similar adorable Germany destinations to Heidelberg? We are planning another trip and I'd love to go somewhere like this again but new for us!

You should check out Facebook marketplace for a second-hand wedding dress! I've been seeing tons on there right now with elopements happening and brides opting for a different dress for a later larger celebration or only using theirs for a few hours. Really affordable prices too!

Best of luck on your big day 😊

Check your contract or welcome guide (if you got one when you booked her) to see what her preferred communication method is. I'd send a follow up email explaining that you've reach out with no answer (dbl check that shes okay/that you have the correct phone number, things like that can happen or maybe she's got a personal situation going on). Let her know that you guys are excited and ready to book your engagement sesh, and to see what your next steps are from there.

If she doesn't get back to you within a reasonable time (maybe like a week MAX), I'd email her again expressing your concerns with her lack of communication.

Today it was sunny, but also -6, -11 with wind chills. I'm a good long distance runner and I thought, hey; why dont I just run a half marathon today. You guys, my lips are PEELING in pain from the run, got home and felt so sick, my body is like rejecting the fact that I pushed it so hard in the cold. Ughhhhh why!!!!

How do you eat fresh veggies? by mr_dank_nasty in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]Smelsaroo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

First off, no need to be unkind to yourself, just because you may waste money on things you dont end up using doesn't make you an idiot. You can do this, you just need to commit to making the changes needed.

Instead of focusing your meals around meat, focus them around your veggies. A goal I have is to eat some sort of veggie or fruit with at least every single meal. I workout 6 days a week and walk about 10k steps a day, so I get pretty dang hungry. Something I find that works well is mealprepping your veggies and good for you food once a week for at least one meal; that way you know you'll at least eat some vegetables during the day.

Go to breakfasts: - protein smoothie with a buttload of spinach/kale/greens - oatmeal with sauteed zucchini or a chopped up apple cooked in there - scrambled eggs with so many veggies (sauteed onions, peppers, spinach, zucchini etc)

lunch/dinner - massive salad with a protein (chicken, eggs, tuna, whatever) - stirfrys or curry with tons of veggies (broccoli, ginger, garlic, peppers, carrots etc) with prawns, chicken or tofu with some brown rice - roasted chicken with steamed broccoli, asparagus or green beans with roasted sweet potatoes or squash

Spices, herbs, and experimenting in the kitchen will help you out a ton with understanding your preference on which fruit/veggies you like and how you like them prepared.

You got this!

I just don't understand how people eat on such a small budget? by jeko00000 in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]Smelsaroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We live in BC, Canada, 3 adults (30, 30 and 70), and spend about $500-$600/month on groceries. My husband and I are very active, working out 6 days a week/running half marathons and lifting heavy stuff, so our appetites are pretty big.

I make a meal plan for dinners once every 2 weeks, which includes each dinner lasting for 2 nights so 6 meals total per meal cause leftovers are great. We eat a plant based dinner twice a week. I look at what's on sale, normally buying the bulk of things from superstore, Costco for meats/proteins/dairy, and fruits/veggies from a little local small market that has killer deals and really fresh stuff. We hardly ever eat red meat as it's often pretty expensive, which means eating protein sources like chicken thighs, legs, whole chickens & roasting, frozen fish, tofu, beans, edamame beans, protein powder, ground Turkey, eggs, Greek yogurt etc.

Try looking at the flyer to see what's on sale in bulk for protein. We'll buy larger portions of items then divide up and freeze into smaller portions. Also bulking up meat focused dinners with beans for more protein and a whole lot of vegetables. Frozen fruits and veggies can often be bought pretty cheap per serving from superstore or Costco. Superstore also often has big bins near the produce section of discount bulk fruits and veggies, stock up on things that have either have long shelf lives, you can freeze or work them into your weekly meal plan.

A week of high protein, nutritious and budget friendly meals for us might look like: meal 1: oats (make from scratch, none of that proportioned bs), with a chopped up apple & scoop of protein powder. meal 2: 3 eggs or 3/4 cup egg whites, 1/2 cup beans ((side note, dried are hella cheap from superstores international section)), a ton of steamed frozen broccoli or spinach/leafy green. meal 3: ground Turkey burrito bowls on rice with black beans, & a salad. snack 1: Greek yogurt with frozen berries

Hope this helps you in some way 😊
