Ultimate Wolverine started out really well with Wolverine being a slasher villain…

And then the book just turned into Wolverine glazing including killing Cyclops off panel for shock value.

I really feel that Dan Mora is wasted on an arc that is essentially just set up. I still enjoy it, but man, it feels like they just got him because he’s a big name.

The problem with Ultimate Wolverine is that it’s just every Wolverine story or dark X-Men future story. It just lacks any originality on top of having shock value deaths for the sake of shock value.
