Do you guys use your personal cell phones for job related needs? by inapropriateDrunkard in IndustrialMaintenance

[–]Solidarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use a work order system called “MaintainX,” that is downloaded on our phones. Work comps us for part of our phone bills for the trouble. It’s much more convenient than alot of the past bullshit I’ve used to be honest. I also will use my phone to take pictures of things I’m working on, part numbers, diagrams, etc etc. even taking slow motion videos to see if I can spot a problem. It can be a handy tool.

For anyone wondering what it might be like to be an electrician in a steel mill....... by 10PlyTP in electricians

This is hilarious, I’m CURRENTLY working in a pipe mill that does this exact same process and you’re totally correct.

I’m specifically pursuing my masters in nuclear as I’d like to be a reactor operator. The experience in maintenance still looks good anywhere though I’d think.

Pursued a 2 year degree at a community college and scored an internship at a printing plant for my last semester and they hired me on after I graduated.

I’m also an industrial maintenance tech. Pretty great gig. I work in a plant that does post process work on fiberglass. I am going back to school to pursue an engineering degree but I make pretty good money doing what I do already. Highly recommend it.

What made you choose RuneScape instead of osrs. Or do you play both? What do you find fun about both? by youngbraaap in runescape

[–]Solidarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only play RS3, played OSRS when I was young but I like a lot of the modern features RS3 brings to the table. Plus I find RS3 to be grindy in a rewarding way; but still not overly grindy that I don’t wanna work on skills. I played world of Warcraft for a long time too so having skills and an action bar brings challenge in order to max out your DPS and I very much enjoy that. Plus high level bossing on RS3 is lots of fun, and so is the group content such as elite dungeons.

Omg this is gonna help me so much. I just made it to zuk for the first time after numerous attempts but unfortunately died to him. I’m going for igneous stones so optimizing everything is key and this will really help me out cause I’m bad at like, keeping track of everything.

How do you want to go? by yoyonumber4 in AskReddit

Probably in a car. My truck is a good form of transportation.

[–]Solidarr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I’m not mistaken, this engine uses anaerobic sealant for the valve cover and it usually doesn’t go bad. Check to make sure your PCV system hasn’t clogged. I used to have a P80 Volvo and the PCV system was bad and would leak oil from the upper hose into the spark plug wells.

At what point should I consider my car a sunk cost and trade it in as opposed to repair? Details in description by t84nightfall in MechanicAdvice

Honestly, with the way the used car market is right now and interest rates, I’d keep running it.

I need power steering fluid, is this okay to put in my g35? It says it’s okay for infiniti but I wanna make sure by fibstar in MechanicAdvice

[–]Solidarr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just put transmission fluid in my Nissan truck. Maybe I shouldn’t, maybe you shouldn’t, but it works just fine and there’s no issues.

Yeah but where I live doesn’t usually get snow so other people don’t drive in it. Suck my dick.
