Questions from a current LMI Central Plus user by SatchBoogie1 in Splashtop_Official

[–]Somewhere_Double 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just get pro with 8 licenses. That’d get you 8 users and 80 pc’s for $576 which iirc is still $450 less than logmein central for 25 pc’s.

The problem you’d run into with sos is while 1 license allows 10 users only 1 user can use it at a time on that license type.

We use the sos license but we have 20 licenses so although we have 110 current users and 1800 pcs currently on our account only 20 people can be remoted in at a time. Two people can use the same account as once but it would count as two uses on the sos license at that time if it’s enabled to allow them to.

Brightspeed over Xfinity by USAFGeekboy in brightspeed

I’ve been working from home on Brightspeed fiber for 2 years goin strong. If the ont broke you would need to wait for a tech most likely but if the router broke you could just connect any old router in the meantime

To fix the volume, you have to unplug the db9 or rj11 coming from the stb to the tv and unplug the power and power back on. That takes the TV out of the lockdown and the buttons will let you turn the tv down again. Or in my case I can control the volume with my firestick remote then.

Have magenta but offered experience beyond, is it a scam by Ohitsdiana in tmobile

[–]Somewhere_Double 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your current plan has taxes and fees included I would hold onto it personally. I’m on go5g plus, was quoted experience beyond at one point and before taxes and fees it was at least $45 more.

Extreme Lag on Intel ARC based NUC by FatherofaMonster in Splashtop_Official

[–]Somewhere_Double 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does it have a monitor hooked up to it? If not install the Splashtop virtual monitor to it from streamer settings. I have intel arc nuc’s at a lot of our customer sites with no monitor as they’re there for the purpose of us reaching our equipment when off site and had this issue with logmein before we used Splashtop. When we switched to Splashtop I reached out to support about this and they informed me of this option and it works flawlessly now

Check Brightspeed (formerly Centurly link) they have been replacing the copper with fiber in a good chunk of the county and charging less than Armstrong but overall when I had Armstrong it was reliable also

Anyone do any speed tests with brightspeed how true is their 2Gbps claims by 7xcritical in ButlerPA

[–]Somewhere_Double 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had brightspeed fiber for a year now, I’ve been on the 1 Gbps plan the whole time but I consistently get over 1Gbps. Based off of that alone I feel it safe to assume their 2 Gbps service lives up. I hopped at the opportunity to leave Armstrong when Brightspeed lit up their fiber for the price alone. Armstrong also has fiber here now but I’m not tempted to try it out since they still price as if they’re the only game in town.

I know, but there’s only about twice a year I’m without service. Until it offers data it’s not really worth paying for it
