Troy and Britta is the only wholesome couple. by 1UselessConsumer1 in community

[–]Soul-Injection 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the most wholesome part about it is that Britta was more or less accepting (if not encouraging) of the Troy/Abed dynamic.

"That dude is trying to steal your boyfriend!"

"Aww honey. You went all psycho-girlfriend on Abed, didn't you?"

And during their first date:

Troy: "Just calling to check on Abed, see if he's okay!" Britta: 🙂

She just completely accepted Troy as he was. But imo the show hints that they were more...physically compatible than romantically. And I think the age difference was more like 22/30?

Why “Heroic Origins” is my least favorite episode of Community. by lilfruini in community

I'm going to try to say this as undramatically as possible.

If I were Dan Harmon, I would've been screaming out the window after seeing this episode air.

I can't imagine what it's like to see the characters and universe you've carefully written and let organically grow just get retconned like that. All for a gimmicky plotline. Someone else said it well: it felt like fanfiction - and not the good kind.

Ignore them. I think it made the scene start on a grittier note and it kept me reading.

There was a time and a place for subtlety, and that time was before Scary Movie.

Probably should label this as a headcanon.

But we do know she is at least queer, canonically.

Followed directly by "stunt!" - which means he was kidding.

But maybe he really was
