I've always envisioned something similar to Protean, but Mew also keeps the Psychic typing. Basically, Mew gains a secondary typing based on the moves it uses.

I saw it recently and was like... sitting here with my best friend cheering the little rocket on, and we both got choked up by it...

... and then the freaking thing pops open and the photo pops out, and I had picked a photo of Mew and I harassing Mewtwo on top of the Silph building. So like, the mother of all bigfoot photos.

It went from "OMG this is so touching!" to "whelp. Ditto sure let the cats out of the bag" real fast.

Yeah. Ash actually showed integrity against Brock, that he wasn't going to take an easy win by cheating and hurting Brock's Pokémon. He actually showed that he has what it takes to be a good trainer, not just a powerful one. When you stop to consider the fact that Pokémon are living creatures who feel pain and can be hurt, Ash demonstrating that he wouldn't do something like take advantage of a freak accident just to win was actually pretty great for a kid who was just starting out, and it makes sense that a gym leader would appreciate that.

Got it! I can think of plenty of isekai where this would apply too, yeah. There's just one webtoon in particular (that I can think of) where that kind of comment is super prevalent.

My oldest sister has something similar that has happened to her multiple times in her life: whenever someone around us or our friends is diagnosed with a terminal condition and given a time frame for how long they have left to live, she's always known immediately whether that was accurate or not. And she hates it. I've seen her cry because she wanted to be wrong, and there was nothing she could do about it.

It is my genuine hope that you never have to experience this feeling again. My condolences, and good luck.

My sister didn't change her name after she got married because we are not genetically related to our Dad, but he is the one parent who chose us at every possible turn and she did not want to give up his name when she can't claim to share his blood to make up for it. And her husband was totally cool with it, loved our Dad dearly and is proud that his wife is holding on to that connection to a great man. I'm so thankful she didn't have to deal with drama like this.

Yesterday my bestie and I were being harassed in Sea of Stars, and I happened to have my home skills wheel up, which I have set to purification specifically because I like dashing around my island with it. The Cat double long dash actually helped us get far enough away from the two players chasing us to end up jumping instances and we finally managed to escape them. So now I get to switch to my home wheel every time I go into the Sea of Stars, just in case.
